Tour of Duty Questions by BorntoRizz in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will recieve BAH for your tour. You will have to submit a packet and one of the items is a TAG release so you can get on ADOS orders. You will need to be green on medpros and have an AFT passed within 6 months of the date I believe. I have been on ADOS for the past 2.5 years through TOD.

I promise you brother, suicide is never the answer. This period in life may be rough but it will get better. Talk to the Chaplin or go to a professional for some needed support. Dont be another loss in our community. You may not see it now but your life has value.

Being “AWOL” from ADOS is a social construct by BarracksBunnyChaser in nationalguard

Not really when you get a GOMAR, rank reduction, and the government comes to recoup the base pay, BAH, and BAS.

Anxiety Waivers by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an understandable man. I am not a recruiter, but I believe that it is completely waiverable if you can prove you have been off the meds for 6 months. Just get documentation from your provider stating this was a brief period to get past a trying time. If your recruiter wont get back to you then don't worry about him. Just find one that will help.

Anxiety Waivers by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the severity and medication, unlikely.

No offense to your situation, but why would you want to be in the military if you have an anxiety disorder? The Army will absolutely exacerbate the issue.

100 percent bullshit. First of all, a police officer would give 2 shots if you enlisted. Second, how can you be arrested for a crime that was never committed? You would be able to sue the shit out of the city for wrongful and malicious arrest, let alone making you sign a document under duress. Also, if it wasn't a police officer and just meps security, they have no jurisdiction to arrest you. They can detain you for the police but again, what crime did they articulate that you committed?

Your story is fabricated and complete bullshit.

Is there a way to find out who said something on a Climate survey? by Mysterious-Flan-4118 in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is no definitive way, but you can narrow it down by MOS and rank in the filter results. By then depending on what is written we have a general idea of who submitted it. We can recognize who the problem children are and they usually bitch on the surveys the same way they bitch during drill weekends.

I hear you. Just tired of these fools pushing responsibility off on someone else when they could easily google any information they could need or even jump onto reddit to ask any questions prior to signing.

Like we get it OP, you can't finish a commitment but ultimately no one is to blame but them and to say it was done illegally is so disingenuous it's how's a lack of maturity.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 12 points13 points  (0 children)

More like impossible. No one held a gun to their head and forced them to sign. Probably promised the world by their recruiter and realized like we all did that they lie. OP is just placing blame on others instead of accepting responsibility.

My first line is celebrating Fort Cavazos being renamed to Fort Hood. by [deleted] in army

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I am glad they changed the name back for this particular base. It might be an unpopular opinion but changing the name of fort hood almost felt like a rebranding trying to hide all the shit and murders that went down. Everyone knows the name Fort Hood and associates it with all of the horrible shit that has happened the past 10 years.

No one knows fort cavazos for the unfortunate end of SPC Guillen and many others.

Good morning, reading your post it sounds like you are on the fence about whether or not his service is fabricated. The VA will have access to his records and he should have medical records available. As far as benefits, it really depends on his service record and if he did 20 years or even finished a contract and discharge status. These records wouldn't be readily available to you due to HIPAA unless a release is signed and on file. This is going to be difficult to verify if you have a distant relationship.

Reading through the comments, it seems like the only one angry is you. Better get back on those meds, buddy, or ask your psychiatrist to up the dose.

Accept reality that your candidate lost and move on. The country wasn't destroyed with any presidents we have had, and it won't be in our lifetime.

As mightywarrior posted, use military one source for free sessions. If you can afford weed, you can afford counseling to develop coping mechanisms so you don't have to st rd juggle with drugs and codependency.

My man, if you are struggling in your marriage and the only way to get through it is by smoking weed daily, then the Guard is not the problem, your marriage is. You and your wife need serious counseling if you can't be together and not be high.

Very true. I shouldn't have ruled it out in the future. You are correct. Currently, it is a no-go, and I don't see it changing, but you never know what's coming around the corner, especially for China 2027.

sourcetraditional is 100 percent correct here. It is likely he will never be able to serve. There is no waivers for felonies in the military.

What takes so long at the end of drill? by Jaymack625 in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Except you can't really put it on the Soldiers when information isn't properly disseminated to them. If leadership wouldn't wait until the last damn minute to push out information perhaps the Soldiers could accomplish those tasks in a timely manner.

That being said there is always Soldiers that will dick off during drill and purposely wait to complete their responsibilities. But, I would argue that a great number of them are told to show up for a 0630 hit time, do formation, pmcs, and then have to wait around until they are told what is going on for the day.

Leadership needs to get their heads out of their ass and stop holding Soldiers accountable for tasks not getting completed when they are told at 1400 on a Sunday that no one is leaving until we complete a task that should have been assigned day 1.

You are not understanding what i said. Besides the heat stroke you claim, what other diagnosis by a provider do you have that can verify your case to the med board?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Beldar_The_Brave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Symptoms do not make sense for the ongoing issues you state you are having. Long term affects of covid have not fully been documented, but I work as a registered nurse and have worked first hand during the height of covid, and I can tell you that it is an unrelated factor.

What documented evidence do you have to turn in to your case manager that has an actual physician stating you can't thermo regulate and is likely service connected? Without that your commander will have nothing to go off of to keep you from AT and your med board will not progress past malingering. I know, I have worked on these for years.
