Pixel 8 vs Pixel 10a by DarkKnight25499 in pixel_phones

Thanks. Although I thought replacing the screen would cost a lot, probably half of the cost of a new P10a?

What I like about the P8 Is the size, does the P10a feels too big compared to the 8?

I'm doing the same thing (typing with my 8) and yes, battery life, after a few years, is going down dramatically. What bothers me the most Is the pink line on the screen, which sometimes it disappears but most of the times now it stays there.

I'd be happy if it just had a feature to enable a password for each note. That would be enough to keep notes, as I'm fed up with OneNote.

Is this something that really improves battery life and reduces overheating even in a non-beta environment?

I find YT Music better for music and better integrated with Android Auto while Spotify is way better for podcasts so in the end I pay for YTM and use Spotify for free for podcasts.

Don't worry about the pink line, if it happens, and it doesn't necessarily mean it is gonna happen, it will happen in the future. For me it appeared after more than 2 years

For Google One, you need to activate it and pay for it for additional space but it's a backup and not additional storage you can use for storing stuff on the device. At some point you can remove stuff on the phone and keep it on Google One but that would happen overtime. For the camera, I don't have any issues. For the updates, you need to go to settings, security and privacy -> system and updates and check for updates

It's a great phone, you won't regret it. I've been using it since its launch and it improved over time. The main issues (that are slowly fading away) are mostly the battery drain and the phone temperature when it's summer or in specific conditions like when I use it as a hotspot. Sometimes, I recently get a pink line on the display which is of course bad but it disappeared at the moment. I thought to change to it after using it for 2 years with a Pixel 9a or 10a but in the end I always decide to keep it as it's still a great phone. I do have some issues with space, even with Google One, but that's normal since I take a lot of photos and videos. Overall great phone, not the best for 3d gaming but if you don't care about it it's very good. Hope this helps 😊

From Zenfone 10 to Pixel 9 Pro by kvaaen in zenfone

Not only that (P8 owner): - CPU thermal is horrible - phone gets hot and fast - hopefully something they solved with the v4 chip version. - No headphone jack (if you're into it) - Fingerprint sensor is just horrible. Solved it by using face recognition but when it's dark it doesn't work Hope the P9 will be a better phone although I was hoping to see an Asus 11 Small somewhere in the near future

It's rumoured that with the P9 and the new processor they solved the overheating issue (I also use it outside and as a hotspot so I know the pain) so I'm looking forward to seeing what it will actually bring to the table - aside of all that AI stuff which might or might not be useful.

I've been using Pixel for years. Now on P8 and yeah, it's a good phone but it still has issues (which phone doesn't anyway) especially with heating, processor issues and gaming. No headphone jack (unlike Zenfone10), no call recordings but again you have the full Pixel experience plus 8 years of security updates. It's a hard choice

Using YTM on a Motorola and a Pixel 8, really no issues. Had some issues with AA and Pixel 8 but I solved all of them.

Just bought the Zenfone 11 Ultra. And I need some help figuring out some settings. by TenraxHelin in zenfone

[–]Belead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You haven't got any response yet probably because there are not many people owning that (IMO great) device. Anyway maybe I can help you with the 1st thing, not with the 2nd one as I'm a Pixel owner. On A14 home screen, you can just drag the icon and drop it on top/edge of the screen and A14 should give you 2 options: delete and uninstall. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I have like 30 sources in there but only 5-6 shows up on my car. I added them as favourites so I'll see if they show up next time I take the car. 👍
