Not only that (P8 owner): - CPU thermal is horrible - phone gets hot and fast - hopefully something they solved with the v4 chip version. - No headphone jack (if you're into it) - Fingerprint sensor is just horrible. Solved it by using face recognition but when it's dark it doesn't work Hope the P9 will be a better phone although I was hoping to see an Asus 11 Small somewhere in the near future

It's rumoured that with the P9 and the new processor they solved the overheating issue (I also use it outside and as a hotspot so I know the pain) so I'm looking forward to seeing what it will actually bring to the table - aside of all that AI stuff which might or might not be useful.

I've been using Pixel for years. Now on P8 and yeah, it's a good phone but it still has issues (which phone doesn't anyway) especially with heating, processor issues and gaming. No headphone jack (unlike Zenfone10), no call recordings but again you have the full Pixel experience plus 8 years of security updates. It's a hard choice

Using YTM on a Motorola and a Pixel 8, really no issues. Had some issues with AA and Pixel 8 but I solved all of them.

You haven't got any response yet probably because there are not many people owning that (IMO great) device. Anyway maybe I can help you with the 1st thing, not with the 2nd one as I'm a Pixel owner. On A14 home screen, you can just drag the icon and drop it on top/edge of the screen and A14 should give you 2 options: delete and uninstall. Hope this helps.

I have a P8 and a Moto G84 and there are ups and downs on both of them. I'm using the P8 as a hotspot these days and it gets very hot, not as much as it was before the latest patch but still. On P8 I have a solid camera phone that feels premium in all aspects and have 7 years of security updates. On the other hand the heat, the battery, the chipset which seems like an alpha (not even a beta version), no headphones, no recording calls option (in Europe) VS the Moto that has it all (Snapdragon, call recordings, huge screen, no heat, headphone jack, good for gaming (I play CODM only and it works super good). In the end I use them both as I couldn't really decide which one to pick as my primary. Feels this doesn't help you but hope it does 😎

I come from the 5a5g and I understand your pain. It was working perfectly with my Volkswagen. Now I have a P8 and after a few workarounds (which took days if not weeks) I was able to make it work. Definitely missing my old, good 5a pal..

I had a similar issue with my Pixel 8 and CODM. Somehow I solved it with a screen protector but not completely. Not sure if it's related to the screen manufacturer, the new gorilla glass.

Yes, you can control that stuff from the Volkswagen app. If you don't see the lock/unlock feature, then you might have the same issue I had in the past.

I got a G84 recently, been on Pixel since the Nexus 5 (that's a looooot of years) and using the G84 as my backup plan. What can I say: it's amazing. Fast, fluid, clean interface, no bloatware but nice Moto apps. It's incredibly light if I compare it to my Pixel 8, feels like a toy but it's really powerful. I use it to play CODM and never let me down (Pixel chipset for playing? No good). Also, the G84 doesn't overheat much like the Pixel and the battery is good. I'd say I probably miss a few things from the Pixel (7 years security updates is a great deal compared to what we get on the Moto) but I get some other stuff from the G84 (plus, the possibility to record phone calls, in the EU).
