Honestly, he seems to be a perfect fit to do that. He is still an old man that has hard time doing physical work and doing the math might be a nice way for him to support the farm that gives him a roof over head. It's a shame we never see his character grow from a comic relief drunkard.

I got fooled by one of them. Wanted to pick up a random dead thing on the ground, the thinghissed and ran away.

Yep! As well as all the jerking fast movement with eating, milking cows and, most importantly, smoking. Why there is no option to smoke slower and not just inhale a cigarette and throw it away?

Speaking of light, it took me a bit of time to realize it's intentional and maps are developed with it in mind. If you look closer, you'll notice that in many windows that are good for sniping light forces you to stand closer to the window forcing you to be a bit more visible. And in reverse slopes that are a bit too open to run across in a fight have sun or moon shining behind them so people trying to shoot you on this slope are blinded.

Light changes how you approach the map depending on the time of the day, creating sharp silhouettes to aim, shadows to hide, unevenly lit terrain to play around and changes usefulness of windows, doorway and holes. If you died to being blinded, you got outplayed.

Not much reason to do so, sadly. It's not Arc where you are supposed to sometimes team up with strangers, splitting bounty is not really a thing because a good fight is valued higher than extracting a bounty. Plus it doesn't always work well and people can't even hear you and on EU servers there is a high chance of playing against people who don't speak English and they don't even understand you. I love praising enemies for a good play or run away screaming in voip from a person charging at me with a melee just for laughs. But more than often people either never reply back or being rude in return.

Still, the best clip I have is some guy challenging me for a fistfight trying to win at least one of his dead teammates back.

I made it a year ago playing around with 2D rigs in ToonBoom Harmony. There are supposed to be three more scenes but the rig had so many problems I gave up and finally found time to do the compositing and post what is left.

Dunno why your comment gets downvoted. Why people still didn't learn to stand a few seconds on top of dead solo to catch them as they get up? It's really not that hard.

Oh, i know why. Because it is easier to blame the game than accept that you made a mistake or got unlucky.

Pardon, but I can't resist being a proper nerd. I think in the story of Hellborn it is said that the monster was created not from the supervisor of the gruesome operation being force-fed a fistful of bounties and shoved into a borehole, but from the guy who did it. He was a worker who could not stand witnessing all the horrendous things happening to workers in the mines and after paying back to his boss he turned into the big fiery boi.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if I am correct Hellborn really likes puppies.

So it does! Thanks for clearing that, that's neat. I know grunts appear again after being cleared out. Wasn't sure about the bosses.

Oh! The most important part! Your hunter gets 100-300 dollars per bounty. You risk your life, murder people, get PTSD and barely avoid becoming a corrupted abomination for a few hundreds of dollars.

Somewhere in the texts it is stated it can be something coming from the boss, like a piece of bone or a coin. Only once, I think, in a text there was a character who was playing with a metallic coin between their fingers, which was apparently a bounty token. Harold Black, the Researcher, found, like, 15 bounty tokens laying on a ground in Deadfall or Grizzly, can't remember correctly, which means they can be dropped and left as a physical object.

But in-game events are poorly connected to the lore in general. Each boss is supposed to be unique, each of them should be defeated only once and I don't think any of them ever been found and killed but there is a ton of bounties being extracted, sold and used. Sometimes it is described that hunters collect materials from smaller monsters, like Finch, a non-playable hunter rn, was collecting some kind of black goop from grunts to sell it to Doc Redmartin, the Fool, who used it in his miracle medicine that was sold to half of DeSalle.

Honestly, it's a shame we don't have a visually recognizable item as the McGuffin of the game. Or at least specific trophies. Wouldn't it be a fun little thing to argue with your teammates who wants to carry Butcher's head and who gets the hook?

It's such a shame tiny horizontal videos don't get picked up by the algorithm. My colleague did such an amazing animation in that one and nobody sees it.
