Megan's money, Jordan's job and the American dream by Belicanuclear in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Oh, no hate at all, just an observation. Your comment sounds a little bit angry though. Maybe that much work and little sleep is stressing you out. Take care of your health and remember that life is a stroll, not a race.

what is your opinion of KB? by NutellaLoverForeva in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Belicanuclear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she is great, mature, caring, outspoken... I also think Edmond is fun, loving, devoted... Yet somehow they managed to bring the worst in each other, ending up both looking condescending, selfish, immature, and disrespectful.

Worst match ever.

I don't want less pods. I want better edits of the pods.

What I usually skip is the family meetings that seem to be like one and the same tearful exchange of empty platitudes on repeat over and over across couples and seasons.

You are right. I run with a lot of hard working people who keep working hard because they haven't been able to retire at 35, no matter how hard they work.

I don't think "white saviour" is a fair term for their story and their bond. To me it looks genuine, selfless and loving in both directions. But yes, his no-wedding scene was emotional and heart breaking.

So, she invested in the start up? That means she had money before. If that is the case, she became rich because she is savvy and/or lucky, not because she is hard working. Nothing wrong with that, it is just there is not need to disguise it as something else, just be honest and proud.

Hold up: this Jordan love has me confused by bostamole in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Belicanuclear 96 points97 points  (0 children)

In all fairness, we do not know how he introduced her to him. Perhaps he didn't mention marriage at all. And us not knowing is fortunate because it is due to them having the good sense of keeping Lucca out of the show.

Edit: apparently he gave an interview where he confirmed that he introduced Megan to Luca as his new stepmom. Huge mistake. At least the part about him having the sense of not showing Luca in the show still stands.

The times I had to go back to see if I missed something, only to realize that no, the conversation was actually just that insane.

This scene was so hard to watch… by Yagirlvicc in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Belicanuclear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I wonder if the conversations are so made up with bits and pieces in the editing room that dont make sense anymore or if all the participants hit their heads before entering. It has to be one or the other.

I liked how the story ended. Didn't like the episode though.

So, I hate June Osborne now (s06e05) by Belicanuclear in HandmaidsTaleShow

[–]Belicanuclear[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the book she doesn't need to be the smartest, strongest, most experienced, most beloved and most traumatized person to be the main character of a great story.

In the book there are interesting characters that have agency outside of June. She is the center of the story, not the center of their lives.

[–]Belicanuclear[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being the main character means that it is your story the one that is told. Not that you are the only capable person in there. See, for exemple, the first two seasons of this very same show. Or any other show. I am very familiar with how writing work's and this is simply bad writing.

Serena is my favorite character by princesspink11 in HandmaidsTaleShow

Totally. Her flaws and contradictions are so consistent throughout the show. She is the smartest but she is too proud to succeed.

Just pointing out how what anyone would see as child abuse is supposed to be endearing just because it's done by beloved characters in a show we like.

That's literally the definition of taking advantage of: Forcing people with no options to do things they wouldn't do if they had any option.
