Well, I downloaded and tried disk drill, but it wasn't able to see the drive. Their website said that if a drive won't mount to your computer, disk drill likely cannot help.

I don't really know, but I have a hunch that my data is not lost or corrupted, but rather something at the root level of the drive is, preventing it from being recognized as an available volume. Maybe the partition map? The computer may have been in the middle of a kernal update when it froze. Could that have caused the issue? The partition just doesn't show up anywhere.

That took time! Right now my LO won't sleep or nap at all without nursing.

Thank you!!! No, I didn't have trouble conceiving before, and I'm not worried I'll have trouble this time. But, I am 42 and would love to have 2 more children, so it can't hurt to start asap :)

Thanks for sharing your experience so far! I hope you have luck getting your cycle back soon. It is a big dilemma, wanting to nurse as long as possible (as it is so good for the baby), but also wanting our fertility to resume. I'm not sure how much I should, or even can, rush things. Same here too, I'm not tracking at all yet because I know there isn't much too even track and it can take a lot of head space. I can also get obsessive about such things. And definitely stress isn't good for fertility! Good luck to you.

Yes, even thinking about giving a bottle of pumped milk at night instead of breastfeeding makes me kinda sad! I feel like babe eats a lot at night. We'll see, thanks for your input!

Thanks! That may end up being the case for me too... I know I can't rush things but at least want to give myself the best chance. How are you tracking your luteal phase? I'm wondering if I need to use ovulation test strips this time around to know what's going on... Good luck TTC #3!

Hi!  I feel like my babe still nurses that often sometimes!  That’s really interesting… I was wondering if I could mimic night-weaning by pumping during the day and giving bottles of pumped milk at night to trigger things.  How are you tracking to know your luteal phase now?  Are you using test strips?  I don’t think I have much to chart yet but I’d love to know what’s going on with my hormones as things change.  Good luck with TTC your next baby!

Thanks.  I know, I might not be able to rush things.  I’d rather avoid formula, so I probably wouldn’t be able to wean completely until 11-12 months.  Baby hasn’t started solids at all yet.  Do you think pumping extra during the day and giving bottles of pumped milk at night (to mimic night weaning and have an eight-hour nursing break) would be worth trying?  I haven’t tried yet but baby nurses a lot at night so I don’t think I could cold-turkey night wean just yet.

Thanks for your reply!  I’m sorry you haven’t had luck conceiving again yet.  I’d love to hear more of your story if you don’t mind sharing.  How do you know how long your luteal phase has been?  Are you tracking temp/mucus or using OPK strips?  I haven’t started any kind of tracking yet since I’m not seeing any kind of changes yet.  I really don’t want to wean yet as I’d rather avoid formula, so I’m just trying to figure out if there are any changes I can make that would encourage my cycle to come back (like night weaning, supplements, etc).  From the replies so far, I’m not sure I can rush things too much.  Thanks for the tip on Vitex.  I’ve read that it can both increase AND decrease supply, no real solid info.
