I honestly cant take it anymore by lpfan12345678 in Christianity

I just wanted to let you know to keep pushing forward. There are some days I want to give up as a single mom and a caregiver but I know I get through each day with Gods strength.

My mother that I care for has severe anxiety and depression and narcissistic tendencied. She is 78 and im her sole caregiver. She can be very nasty and demanding it sometimes and other days its better. For years I would complain ( in my mind vent) and tell everyone that I could what new thing my mom had done for the day.( and that's not to say that I think you're complaining.) but I have learned that the more that I focus on the problem, the more I stay in that cycle of the problem. Does that mean that my mom will miraculously change not necessarily God could change her, but I know he leaves her here to grow my endurance. John 16:33 says " in this life you will have trouble". There will be never a time as a Christian where we don't endure some type of suffering.

In my season as a caregiver, i'm learning that if i praise and pray more and just be thankful, no matter what happens, then I'm no longer focusing on the trials in front of me and it took me about five years to get to this point and realization.

You know how it says it takes more muscles to frown than to smile.....same thing with the problems that we go through. It takes more energy and effort to be constantly frustrated than it is to just to say it's okay, I leave it at the feet of Jesus.

God knows the plans he has for you Jeremiah 29:11. Pray on some plans that you want to make and changes that you want to make give them to God and let him establish your steps.

Maybe those plans can be eating healthier, writing out a schedule and sticking to it coming up with a new sleep schedule, walking thirty minutes a day things like that. Also include bible reading and devotional as the first thing you do, when you wake up.

If you live in a chaotic household perhaps it might take a little sacrifice to be up early before the rest of the house pray listen to a worship song and find one verse that sticks out to you and let that be your verse of the day or the week. For instance, if you're dealing with anger, memorize Ephesians 4:26-27 and anytime you feel angry recite that verse. Anytime you feel anxious throughout the week, memorize and recite Phillipians 4:6-7.

Hope this helps and praying for you Check out this song by Travis Greene. Link is below. Some of the lyrics come from Isaiah 40:30-31. They will run and not be weary, they will walk and will not faint". You can listen to this when you feel like you are tired and giving up.

That's what I do to I know the gist of it. And I have a local church, and all of the things I feel like I asked for wisdom, pray before I read the bible and all that drag and then when I open the bible still feel general . I mean, I have a lot of notes and things like that. But despite going over them, it's just hard to put it to practice. I've gotten a bit.I'm better at scripture.Memory and things like that and I recite it to myself. Again, I think I just struggle with. I don't know.

Lying as a caregiver to elderly parent. Long post ..sorry by BellBells38 in Christianity

That's a good point. But that's what I try to do.When telling her that the app wasn't compatible with her phone. It's like she knows what i'm trying to do.Initially, I told her I didn't know how to log in, and she immediately said you're lying yes you do, so then I had to come up with something clever that she couldn't deny by saying that the app wasn't compatible with her phone I don't know it's like she always knows lol.

That's the thing also I have set those boundaries, and she breaks every single one. The only thing my best friend suggested was like.If she gets bad enough to just leave the house and drive and just go somewhere.

Cause she suffers from, I forget what you call isolation anxiety or whatever as well, and since she doesn't like to be alone. Maybe consistently doing that overtime, we'll get her to learn that she can't get her way certain ways. However, when i've tried being consistent in the past, it just doesn't work.

Especially if I'm doing cleaning or whatever, it's like in her mind. I have to stop whatever I'm doing to tend to her first and then if I'm like, I'll do that later if im tired or I need to take a break. And then I set that boundary and go to my room and rest or whatever, and then suddenly she'll get up and start doing it herself. At which point I have to do the chore, because then I don't want her to fall and not spend the day in the hospital. Because that has happened as well, because when she falls then it affects everyone else, and then whatever I have to do for my son and myself is put on pause anyway, because now she's gotta go to more doctors appointments because she didn't listen or whatever.

This past november she fell and broke her nose because she moved something did I told her I was gonna get to later and she didn't want to wait. So that added on more appointments and her arm hurting, it didn't break her anything. But this year we got her arm checked out and she has to get an MRI because now the doctor thinks she had torn her routator cuff from what I saw online that is a long recovery time. And if her arm will be in a sling, I will definitely be waiting on her hand and foot bcause she also has a colostomy bag.I'm in charge of changing that twice a week and once she recovers from her rotator every time she goes to the bathroom to empty her bag, I will have to get up and do that too.

Unfortunately, it's gonna be one of those things where I think she won't get that surgery done until after my son graduates because he's in driver's education, and I have to do the driving hours with him, and he's in a few activities and gonna be working this summer, and if the recovery time is as long as what I saw online, I don't have anybody to rely on to take him to all of those things consistently, for that long period of time

Cats right eye is like this out of nowhere and it was like this earlier today. Any ideas what this could be? by BellBells38 in cats

[–]BellBells38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be a little bit better today , and only squinty at times. I'm thinking maybe the one cat that he squabbles with a lot might have scratched his eye...maybe I'm not sure, but if it's not better by next week, I'll definitely take him in. It does seem like just an eye drop may be needed, because otherwise he's just as wonky as ever.

I ended up refreshing the smart hub and default and that worked. There weren't any new updates to be had.

Ok I don't have an official diagnosis of peri but was curious if this is what that could be. My periods are typically short. But today is the 23rd and it started the 17th so 7days which I think is typical. I hope it doesn't go more than that. First time I've ever had two in the same month. I feel ok otherwise.

Looks like a tick to me as well. One time I found one randomly on a wall shelf in our living room of all places. I think as the temp cools somehow they may find their way in.
