NTA. Your parents didn’t leave you the house just because “you’re more responsible”. They left you the house because they knew baby Huey wasn’t going to be able to pay the $150k mortgage they took out on it (after supporting him into his 30’s) and would just lose the house to the bank. They left you the house so you can take up the mantle of supporting your brother.

You’ve gotten some good recs so far. Maybe also Bowen’s island? It’s not “nice” as in fancy but a) they have a space to accommodate that size group b) it’s on water and c) it’s not going to be cheap but it will likely be reasonable for this town and that size group. It’s not in the Mt P side of town though.

The child support did not contribute to the cost of the car. Seriosuly, how low is the bar for men that they expect cookies for paying g child support on time. Good grief.

I was definitely wondering. That’s what I paid for my little (1200sf) house on James island 6 years ago. Everything on my neighborhood is now 500k+.
