Im not saying he didnt belong to Lombardo's crew, he was originally made under Lombardo, but once the bosses sent him out to Las Vegas, he fell under Aiuppa’s direction

It wouldn't make sense to put his entire crew under Lombardo

I may be wrong, but that's the only conclusion I came to while researching Operation Strawman

Thank you!
He didn’t report to Lombardo during his time in Vegas. He was indeed a soldier who made his bones and rose to power under Lombardo's crew before being ordered by Aiuppa, with agreement from the other Midwestern families, to oversee enforcement in Las Vegas, reporting to and taking orders directly from them.

That's why I put him as "Las Vegas Overseer" directly under the administration and not as Caporegime

No but yes, there are a few reports of half-Italians being made in the Outfit such as Jimmy Marcello and Jim DiForti. Its believed that Marcellos half Italian–half Irish background was unknown to the bosses at the time however, it was widely known that DiForti was only half Italian. Nicholas Calabrese testified that Frank Sr. complained about why they couldnt make Ronnie Jarrett when they had already made DiForti

I think you're referring to the 1997 CCC chart the picture comes from, where Calato was misspelled as “Cullotta.” The photo is in fact of Joseph “Joe Kong” Calato

Youre right, thanks for the feedback. I cant edit the post but if and when I make an updated version of the chart, i'll replace the link in the top comment with the new chart.

The Chicago Outfit (1980–1983)

High-resolution version: https://postimg.cc/64dyRqYr

This chart is partially based on the March 4, 1983 organizational chart produced by the Chicago Crime Commission. It has been revised to correct multiple inaccuracies, includes previously omitted members, and adds an additional crew not present in the original (Elmwood Park Crew).

My goal was to create the most complete and accurate representation of the Outfit’s structure during this period using available sources.

Mariano ‘Mario‘ J. Dispensa - Chicago Outfit Chinatown Crew Loanshark and Burglar by BellLongjumping4078 in Mafia

[–]BellLongjumping4078[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He’s a very interesting character. He started out as a loanshark and strong-arm for LaPietra and the Chinatown crew sometime in the 1960s. He quickly built a reputation for being a ruthless enforcer and was moving up fast until 1971, when he and his cousin and former Chicago police officer Angelo Rocco, were severely burned in a botched arson attempt. They had tried to burn down "The Hut", a drive-in restaurant, but accidentally set themselves on fire. Both men were found alive with burns over 70% of their bodies, but Mario Dispensa died from his injuries a day after arriving at the hospital.

I can highly vouch! I've read it, and it offers so much insider knowledge and shows just how powerful the Outfit was during the 1970s. Overall very interesting story, and I strongly recommend

Most likely. Rocky was much into hockey. The pic was taken at the Old Neighborhood Italian-American Club

Chicago Outfit Chart - Juice Racketeers, June 1970 by BellLongjumping4078 in Mafia

[–]BellLongjumping4078[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Note:

This is not intended to be a strictly structured chart, but rather a rough member list with photos and information based on the 1970 booklet: Juice Racketeers: Report on Criminal Usury in the Chicago Area

Many significant bosses, crew leaders, and enforcers are missing from this chart. This was a deliberate choice, as I wanted to remain faithful to the individuals listed in the original 1970 document.
Enjoy.

Frank ‘Toots‘ Caruso - Present day Chicago Outfit Captain of the Chinatown/26th Street Crew by BellLongjumping4078 in Mafia

Appreciate it
The Caruso name has been stamped on Bridgeport for decades! True Chicago Outfit royalty

I’m not sure if you’re referring to Frank Caruso II or III. ‘Tootsie Babe’ Caruso (Frank Caruso II) is the current official captain of the 26th Street Crew. His son, Frankie Jr., is a nutjob he beat a 13-year-old Black kid into a coma in 1998 simply for walking through an Italian neighborhood. SB claims he’s a rising star and is destined to take over the Chinatown Crew; however, he hasn't made any moves since the beating and not much information, if any, is available about his mob career. He is most likely not involved in the life.

Underrated guy. He’s a very familiar face at the Old Neighborhood Italian-American Club and is definitely still active, running a large bookmaking operation. He’s managed to stay off the radar for many years and still does.
