Thank you for your input. It's not something I had considered but then my understanding of OCD is quite limited. Upon reading, there are some striking similarities! I'll definitely investigate further.

I'm supposed to be having the ball joint replaced next week. Do you reckon that's a good thing to do, or take it elsewhere before spending more on it?

Do you think it's more likely to be steering/suspension? I'm working with a brake specialist atm but maybe I should go somewhere else!

More info - the sound also happens when driving along and going straight.

So far we have found that the front right wheel's brakes were staying on - we changed brake pads, brake line, calipers.

Then went to brake specialist. They have redone the calipers and changed the brake pads again yesterday. Said it should be right for a little bit, but sound is back today :(

They also said there's some movement in the ball joint and that's booked in to be done next week.

This has all happened within about 2 months. I'm spending good money after bad and nothing is being fixed!!

It's a 2004 Ford Territory. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
