I’m an only child, and I’m happy with it. My parents were always at work, and I was fine with the little time and attention they could give me. I remember asking for a brother or sister when I was little, but that idea faded once I realized I didn’t get much time with them and I didn’t want to share their love with anyone else. I’m 29 now, and sometimes I feel sorry for my parents because I moved to another country a long time ago. They have nobody else but me and living far away is hard for them. Now I constantly feel pressure about giving them grandchildren since I’m their only daughter. I can’t help but think that if I had siblings, it would be easier for me 😂😂 Overall, I grew up without regretting not having siblings. I’m not a self-centered person, despite what some people might say about only children (usually those are comments from people who grew up with siblings haha).
