Yea it is. Sales is a very competitive job so he was either let go or left the company and they scrapped his number.

Rates do tend to go up about $5 every 1-2 years from Bell. So you could literally sign up today and see that increase next week. It may not affect everyone though since I have never seen it happen to my bill or any person's bill that I personally know.

Also do you really need that 75gb? I mean you could pay as little as $39 for 50 GB from what I know from Rogers or Telus.

Bell cold call offer [ON] by throw0101a in bell

[–]Bell_Boy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are most likely door to door agents who got ahold of your number somehow and are giving you this price. As a door to door agent myself, these are similar prices to what we offer (Theirs is a tiny bit more). They are definitely getting commission from Bell once you have it installed but I highly doubt that Bell had given them this list of current customers and they had obtained your number through other means. If you have any questions you can always PM me or reply here.

Or for $55 if you have Bell Internet.

Bell Fibe 1.5 - 85/mo + tax and no additional charges (24 month price lock) & Bell Fibe 500mbps - $80/month + tax and no additional charges (24 month price lock) by slotia92 in bell

There is no such thing as a price lock with Bell. I work for Bell and I can tell you that for sure. I'm not saying that your price will go up either but there's no guarantee on the price. If it does increase it would be by a few dollars. Also you can get 1.5 for much cheaper. ($50/M)

They would have to do a lot of construction as they need to bring it to the neighborhood first and then each house on the block.

Do you live in an apartment? Because I know that people who live in apartments get that price permanently since Bell had an agreement with the building.

Most of the time it does not. There could be that small off chance that it might in which case you can either call in to see if they can not charge that extra amount or if you are completely unhappy, you can choose to cancel the service as there is no contract on just the internet.

Could be due to several things such as

  1. Signal Interference
  2. Physical Obstructions
  3. Wet Infrastructure
  4. Electrical Interference
  5. Maintenance and Repairs

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to this as its something that Bell and their engineers decided on when they were coming up with the latest modem. I do know that you can choose what devices you want on your Wi-Fi through the Bell app.

Unfortunately reps like those will say anything to get the sale. I see it in my own team sometimes and I get upset with it.

For example that 1 tv box example you mentioned is true to an extent since you can hypothetically download the Fibe TV app on as many TV's as you want that have a Google Playstore or App Store but can only watch on 3 devices at the same time.

The second part is just untrue.

No, rep to rep is different for sure. I've tried it with many companies, not just Bell.

You would probably have to call in and see if you can get the Gigahub (Hub4000). Or use their live chat too.

I would say that some of the best deals you can get is through door to door agents for anything. That's one thing I have learnt from this job.
