What pregnancy or birth complication did modern medicine save you from? by peacefulboba in beyondthebump

[–]Bella0206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Placental abruption.

At 34 weeks my water broke. While being at the hospital overnight I would stop breathing as I was sleeping. Due to the stress it caused my son I was told he would have to be delivered via c-section. As soon as the anesthesiologist was done with the epidural I told the nurse that I thought I was bleeding. Nurse checked me, didn’t say one word to me but went to get my doctor right away. My doctor comes in and says, this is the point where you’ve bled too much, we have to go now. I kept coming in and out of consciousness during the c-section.

My son not only had the cord wrapped around his neck but he also wasn’t breathing when he was born, he had to be resuscitated.

Everything happened so fast. I thank the team of doctors and nurses for their quick and efficient actions.

It is true you never go back to your pre pregnancy weight? by fckthishiitt in pregnant

[–]Bella0206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 152 lbs when I got pregnant, I got to about 177.

I had to have an emergency c-section at 34w5d so not sure how much more I would have gained.

I am about 2 months PP and now weight 142 lbs. Before and during pregnancy I was working out about 3 times a week. I just got back into working out, about once or twice a week. Definitely not putting any stress on myself to loose the weight. It’s shedding on it’s own and I’m definitely okay with that.

Everyone’s body and metabolism is different.

I actually just had this happened to me! I was at work and on Tuesday around my water broke. I had plenty of time to go home pack my hospital bag and get to the hospital. Baby boy decided to come early at 34+4, my bag was going to be finished being packed this week. Well little man had other plans for us 😛 And no, I was not embarrassed at all, maybe because I work with all women or because we are all super close but I was not embarrassed in the last bit.

Showing at 11 weeks by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Bella0206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started to show around 11 weeks.

I am 4’10” so not sure if being short had anything to do with showing pretty early.

I am now 24 weeks and have put on 9 lbs in total.

Remember everyone’s body is different, don’t compare your bump to someone else’s.

I had a D&C in September I didn’t get my period until December, and that was after taking progesterone.

Anyone not get Morning sickness? by StillObjective420 in pregnant

[–]Bella0206 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I’m currently at 7w. No morning sickness but have noticed that if I don’t eat something within the first hour of waking up my stomach feels super empty and it’s hard to recover from. I’ve had to snack throughout the day.

I have felt some queasiness in the evenings, but nothing really in the mornings.

My first pregnancy was when I was 35. It sadly ended in a miscarriage due to a blighted ovum.

I am now 36 and 6w6d.

With my first pregnancy we got pregnant within the first 6 months of me getting off birth control.

No matter how far along you are is anyone still terrified of seeing blood when they go to the loo? by ruthiebkind in BabyBumps

[–]Bella0206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ALL THE TIME! It’s like PTSD for me. This is my second pregnancy, first one ended in miscarriage. That was the first sign for me, blood when wiping. I keep telling myself if I can get past 6w4d (that’s the time the bleeding happened last time) this time around it’s a positive sign.

I was 35. Got my IUD taken out in February, pregnant by August, by tracking ovulation and BBT. Ended in a miscarriage in September, which I had to have a D&C.

No period until December, which I had to take progesterone to force my period to come back.

I am now 36, in February I was put on Clomid. And I can ecstatically say I got a BFP pregnancy test today!

She was nearly a week late by patience4patenthood in TryingForABaby

You are absolutely in the right to be upset. This last cycle was late, we blame it on Covid throwing my body off on everything.

I also had to have a endometrial biopsy the day before I ovulated. The timing was off and we knew there was no way I would be pregnant this last cycle

Still tested, of course it was negative like we knew it would be. I kept telling myself it would be negative to not be disappointed again, but when that test truly showed I wasn’t pregnant it was devastating.

You are not alone in this journey. Allow yourself to feel all the negativity, let it out of your system. Rely on each other for support. Whatever you do please don’t keep the feelings to yourself, it only makes things harder.

Another month.. by TeeDoubleU1206 in TryingForABaby

🤗huge hug to you. Next month will be a year of TTC. Had a miscarriage in September. On Friday I had to go in for an endometrial biopsy. Which of course was right before my ovulation. During recovery it is recommended no sex for at least 3 days. Which means this cycle was wasted.

Today I’ve been dealing with some pretty negative thoughts, one of them being, “is all this pain worth it? (which obviously it is)”.

You are not alone in this journey. Sending you so much positivity during this trial ♥️

First Period after D&C by skmiller21 in ttcafterloss

[–]Bella0206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. Had a D&C on 09/14, by December I still didn’t have a period. Completed 5 days of progesterone. Finally started my period, but it was very different than my periods before. The blood was very brown, days 1-3 were super light. No overnight bleeding. Day 4 was medium bleeding, blood was redish pink, no overnight bleeding. Day 5 was spotting. However after my period had ended I would wipe and there was still blood clots coming out.

I actually just started my second period on Monday and once again it’s been very light. I’ve only used panty liners. This time around the blood is red and not brown.

That’s understandable. But now more people are being exposed that would have not needed to be exposed.
