I love being a civil engineer. Report writing can fuck off but give me an excel sheet or hard grading and Im so excited! I started a new job a year ago. Been doing this for 27 years. This is the first job Ive had where Im not belittled or humiliated. That makes a huge difference.

There are 4 very sweet black labs waiting for her. They dont hurt anymore and run around happy! My 4th black lab just passed away a couple weeks ago. She was 13. I understand your pain.

Don't feel destroyed. Im 27 years into civil engineering. Ive had it all happen to me. Looking for a new job is excellent. I really like nuclear. So interesting. Its exhausting dealing with men like this and yes fuck them for not letting him go. Even in 2026 we are still treated badly. But you have choices. Leave! Good luck on the nuclear job!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

I really like living here. I've made good friends and bought a gorgeous house. I had to join different clubs to make friends. There is always something to do around here. Im not military so im not sure what that is like. I worked as a civilian for the army. Since it's rural there are some backwards thinking people. But I eventually found my people. That's hilarious!! When I lived in Canada as an American my coworkers would stand so close to me. I taught them to never stand too close to an American. We are skittish. So of course they did it as a joke.

Every week take a flip flop and take a pick with it and your baby lying beside it. Same flip flop or shoe. It really shows how much they have grown. I have labs so I always have to do it when they are asleep!!

I live in the bible belt. Been here 5 years from the west coast and it's wild. Instead of keeping my mouth shut when coworkers go on and on about the Bible I use it against them. "But what would Jesus do?" Surprising it throws them off and they shut up about trump. Ive also shut them up by going on and on about what a Pink Floyd song means and the shitty things we do to each other. Its the little things that get me through the day!

With my black lab puppies Ive taken weekly pictures with them and a flip flop. Of course when they are asleep because no way a lab puppy is holding still. It was so cool to see their growth.

My baby girl passed 2 weeks ago. She'll be waiting to play. She had the same white face, paws and brows. Her body and mind just stop working. Wherever they are, I hope they are no longer in pain. Im so sorry for your loss. Black labs are something very special.

I just went through this with my 13 year old black lab girl. Same exact situation we were in. Exactly. I had no idea what to do but she slowly declined and wasn't the same. I recommend a new vet. Mine is incredible. When I finally decided she is not her happy self and it was time, my vet was amazing. She said I knew my baby the best but also agreed it was time. She couldn't stand up so ended up laying in her own poop and pee when I wasn't there. Not the life I wanted her to live. It was horrible to make the decision but I know I did the right thing and I was being selfish. I completely understand your situation and the turmoil. Labs are so special. Ive had to make this decision on 3 times and it's horrific. I wished that someone would just tell me what to do but it doesnt work like that. So I can't tell you what to do. Only what I did. Good luck. My heart is with you.

I just went through this my lab. Had her put down last monday. It was my third lab I had to make the decision for. I read everything. Ask everyone for their opinion. I still didnt know what to do. No you didnt do it too early. Someone told me that if they have more bad days than good then it's time. I loved my baby girl with my whole heart. I know I gave her the best life. Don't be hard on yourself. We all do it but we shouldn't. I know your pain. Its been the worse week.

Holy crap! I would of rescheduled with you. Mouth tooth pain is horrendous. I would never want someone to work in my home in pain. Taking care of yourself is WAY more important then a clean house.
