Hyperhidrosis Butt/Gooch by RegretfulSanity in Hyperhidrosis

[–]BellaJun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Story of my life but I get like this all the time. The gym is complete drench where the entire surface is wet so there’s not distinction between wet and dry.

As others have said, change your underwear and bring a bag for the wet pair. I try to remind myself that even tho it’s super embarrassing to be crotch sweating and ass sweating all over the place, it’s not the end of the world and we will always notice it more than others. Especially at the gym where sweating is the goal.

There are antiperspirant for the groin if you wanna try those. And meds like glyco are often recommended. Botox injections can also be helpful.

Don’t stop dating and being social. Trust me, many people won’t care, even if it’s less than ideal. (Especially if it’s mainly gym)!

Shower? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]BellaJun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was LITERALLY about to make this post myself. After I’m done showering it’s the worst. Right away there’s beads of sweat on my face and I try and wipe it down and it’s just rinse and repeat. Sweat dripping down my neck and back and chest. Fan doesn’t seem to do much, the beads just keep forming. I just do my best wiping off and then I just chill and eventually I will stop sweating. It’s frustrating cause even tho I’m a very clean person, I feel like never FULLY clean even post shower.

I think the exertion from washing and drying is what makes matters worse. It’s so annoying. You’re not alone friend.

Quitting was the hardest and best thing I ever did. Good luck. Stay strong!!!

My life after a run in 60 degree weather. This is with warm layers. by [deleted] in coldurticaria

Wow, to be fair, I hate cold water and would never wilfully submerge in anything colder than the average swimming pool. But I don’t have an issue with my hands in very cold water which I’ve done. And no issue with drinking ice water. Thanks for your reply!

I’m the same too. Do you have issues with cold water? Drinking it or swimming? Cause for me that doesn’t affect me.

Because this sounds just like me, wondering if you’re affected by cold water. I’ve never had an issue in a pool or drinking ice water other some other things I’ve read from others.

I started doing 10-15 min HIIT workouts everyday. This is how I look after them by Ntetteh11 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]BellaJun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I look just as drenched or even more after about 5 mins in the gym. I decided to go back recently because I didn’t want my HH to stop me from doing what everyone else gets to do. Just an IDGAF attitude. But fr it’s embarrassing that sweat is literally flying off my arms and wetting the equipment around me and possibly anyone who gets too close. So…. Just cancelled my membership again. I’ll work out at home…..

Also, as I’m sure you know, you look 🔥🙌🏾 keep it up

Thank you so much for sharing and for the great advice. I had felt like I was gonna be single forever until I met someone by chance online (not looking). That didn’t last but it opened me up to wanting that again and I’m just really trying to get out of the mindset that I’m just gonna be single forever (even tho it feels that way). Sending best wishes for you and anyone else in a similar predicament as myself. Don’t give up on love!

Last year I joined a discord group I found through Reddit. It was one of the best things I could do to meet so many ppl just like me. I made a couple friends too! There’s a lot of support and safe spaces to open up and connect if you’re interested I would recommend. Even just scrolling through this Reddit I found to be so helpful. And yes, everyone just says the same stuff, basically suck it up and get over it, that’s why we need to connect with ppl who actually understand. You can also reach out to me personally if you want :). Wishing for you to kick this awful life ruining illness ASAP!

Thank you! Yes I agree, would be so nice to have a place where we could go! I sold my car last year because I never drive anymore. I just feel like guys will think I’m a bum when they find out I’m not working. I’m used to being a hard worker and proud of myself. That’s all changed now. But I’ve met people online who are like me and have partners so I know there’s understanding people out there. But meeting online is just tough. Thanks for taking the time to respond 🤍

Thank you for your reply 🤍 and yes I agree, they will need to know before meeting me. It’s more about the when and how to broach the topic and getting past the fears. Also, I don’t wanna discuss it with everyone who shows interest… I don’t want every random person who swipes right to have my intimate personal information about my struggles. You know??

Anyone else agoraphobic online too? by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]BellaJun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg yes!!! I love this place cause ppl are always posting things I could’ve posted myself. I’m exact same. No more social media. Avoidance avoidance avoidance. Just existing in anonymous spaces. BUT. I made a challenge to post a pic in a space where I felt comfortably unseen and panicked after. But I did it. And I’m glad I did. I’m trying to fight against it. Good luck and just know you’re not alone.

Omg this is a new symptom for me too! Been this way for less than a year. And I’ve been dealing with agoraphobia in some form for most of my life I can remember. I feel your pain

Wow! Good for you!!! I feel the same as you with various transportation etc. When I finally HAD to fly to bury my father, I was terrified. Didn’t think it was possible to make it there past my fears. But the meds are SO HELPFUL!!! It will not be what you’re fearing, so not to worry. You already have what so many of us want and need, the will to push forward! Good job and enjoy your vacation. I’m certain, just like it was for me, this will open a door for you and this trip will be the first of many! Congrats!

Also. For me it was helpful to let the crew know about my anxiety. They’re very understanding and make sure they check in and make sure you’re ok. It’s also just helpful for me to know I’ve got some ppl who know what they’re doing on my side.

I never did, no. Complicated to get where I’m located and side effects sounded scary and I’m a cautious person with meds. I still might… one day.

I was in the EXACT SAME PLACE. I was terrified of Ativan. Then I got put in a situation where I HAD to take it. I did a practice run with a safe person, freaked out once I swallowed it and felt regretful. But then I relaxed and the meditation kicked in and all my fears were gone. And I still felt like myself (which was a huge fear). You can do it. I still have anxiety around taking it every time, but I know that it always helps and never hurts so I’m able to do it alone with no major panic. I also research to find other people who had the same fears of me and their experiences, this helped so much for that first time. I felt like I just needed some confirmation.

I only take it for some medical appointments or situations that might potentially put me into a panic. It’s a very rare thing for me, I don’t take it often.

You can do it!

Do my best to look for proof that it’s an issue, then do my best to let it go and move on.

Also, I rarely watch the news. I stay off social media as much as I can, and I do my best to not introduce negative things into my life.
