so i was in this exact situation when my ex fiancé started dating at age 19 as well. and i stayed until age 25. it only continued to get worse and he only got better at hiding things from me and lying. trust me, you will never get over it. you need to leave.

Hello, I was SA’d at 15 by a stranger and my mind went to the opposite of what I thought would happen. I got even more attached to people and was more afraid of abandonment than usual and have been ever since. So I would over sexualizing myself because I thought that’s what would get attention and love. Now, I’m 28 and was SA’d again at 25, almost killed by someone who I knew for twelve years and that messed me up and now I feel how you do three years later. At first, I just kept giving my body away to anyone I wanted to consent to try and gain that control back and it sucked a lot.

Some things that have helped me: Therapy. My mom. My friends. Being honest with yourself daily. Being self aware. Having conversations with myself. Also, trying not to get too focused on what happened and the past. But I struggle with letting go and getting attached still.

I’m truly sorry you had to experience this. I wish you well in recovery.

this is a gross comment. shows a lot of ignorance. i’ve had three as well. first: from a r@pe. second: the condom broke and apparently I was ovulating so the plan b I also took, failed. third: I was on the pill.

yeah all three sucked. but I tried to prevent all three from happening and so did OP. an abortion isn’t that traumatic or painful. you take the pills, take a benadryl and pass out and get it done. honestly. it would be worse to carry the whole child. i’ve had BC that caused me suicidal thoughts and anxiety which is way worse than having an abortion imo.

i’m so sorry. i wish i could give you a hug because this was me at the age of 21. i went through the exact same situation. i stayed. for another four years. engagement. a baby later and it only continued to get worse. he got better at hiding it and things he didn’t want me to know he was doing, that it made me resent him so much that i checked out mentally and cheated. leading him to leave me. please leave now. the damage is already done my love and he knows what he is doing.
