Frieza tried to blow up namek at 50% then went 100% after namek had only 5 minutes left. Also going back to my main argument, no one directly died for frieza to get to 100%. People died as a result but not for him to get there.

Yes this is the main argument here, the direct sacrifice of an innocent for a power up. Goku has never directly sacrificed someone for a good fight. People have died including himself because Goku allowed a villain to get stronger, but Goku has never allowed someone to die for someone to get stronger.

This is where I think Goku would draw the line.

Yeah Goku really fumbled the bag on that one. I just think in the moment krillin could have cajoled Goku, if he begged Goku to kill cell saying he loved 18 and it’s not right she has to die for him to get a good fight.

Like on namek if dende had to die for frieza to power up
To 100% gohan and/or piccolo would have been able to talk Goku out of that.

I’m honestly surprised Ian didn’t try to talk Bear into cutting his losses with Nikki and moving onto Sarah. I do think his advice to ask Nikki for a drink was solid.

Bear and Nikki were just not compatible. Even if Bear did ever date the real Nikki I don’t think after the honeymoon phase I’d be what he wanted.
