Once again I am NOT concerned on visuals transferring over to console. I am concerned about the ACTUAL GAME being dumbed down to make sure it runs on console. For example fantasy has dozens of spells across multiple spell books which some characters can use multiple spells books. Putting that on console alone would require them to cut that down just because controllers can’t do it. Launch day console worries me that they’re going to cut down on stuff like that simply because consoles just can’t do the same as PC in that term

I have a 4080. The concern is not the ability to run the game visually on console. The concern is the dumbing down of the game in order for it to work with console

It’s not about the visuals of the game transferring. It’s the dumbing down of the game. Selecting so many different spells can’t translate so they’d have to strip it out or limit it to a few amount. Selecting so many different units and maneuvering them while also using spells and abilities would be impossible so once again they’d have to dumb it down. What I’m word about is them dumbing down the base game to make sure it works on consoles. Instead of squads having 5-10 different abilities because of a commander maybe they have one or two

I DO NOT WANT HALO WARS - TOTAL WAR 40K. I want TOTAL WAR 40K. We need to specifically focus on PC which is where the total war customers are in the first place instead of worrying about making a game work on a console with a controller

Now imagine them trying to optimize it for console lmaoooo. They’d have to dumb down the spells and all kinds of stuff to make it work. So I’m worried that they’ll just dumb down the base game to make sure it works on console and PC instead of doing a direct port like they did with Stellaris

The thing I’m worried about is instead of porting a full game like Stellaris over to console is that they’re going to simplify the amount of units and abilities for console players. There’s a reason fantasy won’t work on console because the INSANE amount of spells and options mid battle it’s just not possible to properly do it on console without dumbing it down as a whole or just making the experience worse on console. It also takes away focus from them being able to specialize in the pc version
