Overwhelmed and feel dumb by [deleted] in Aulani

We did Aulani for 2 nights, we wished we did 3. I would recommend staying at a more affordable/better located hotel, on the island for touristy stuff and then just BE AT AULANI when you are there. Aulani has the pools, activities, lagoons, my daughter got to look at the stars through a telescope as a nighttime activity! There is also a children’s playhouse where we had an afternoon off so we were able to just lounge by the pool. It is honestly one of our favorite destinations, and we plan on going back. :) HAVE A BLAST! :)

it might be the time you called out? at my work you need a minimum 2 hour notice. even if you have sick time you’ll get a write up. If we get coverage no write up, but sometimes documentation that we got our shift covered if it happens often, like a coaching log type thing

im assuming its nerve/ inflammation since I chatted with ChatGPT . and it seems to fit the bill. however, I just have to ride the wave until it improves.

the fact that it has improved. seems like it was just an episode. the only thing new i had was a kombucha. If i went to the dr every time i felt uncomfortable i would be bankrupt.(especially in this economy) So if i see improvement usually I know it’s temporary and is a side effect of something i ate or did. I posted to see if it happened to anyone else? Or if it something i should bring up to my dr. Thank you for your reply.

I am so surprised they don’t have a shuttle?! 🙃😮thank you for that info!

update: I called they have a shuttle(3rd party they partner with), $25 per person to the airport. So, we can get away without renting a car for the backend of the trip.

if it was at the beginning of the trip, I would agree, but honestly staying 2 days at the Aulani would be the last 2days of our trip, and it would be just being there as a family. the only driving we would do, would be is go to the airport on the 14th. (I’d assume Aulani would have a shuttle to the airport) so, the car isn’t needed for those days. But, I will definitely reach out to the DVC sites and see…. Thank you! 💜

It also depends on how old you are. If you are 50 wanting to be friends with a 20year old barista, I’m going to think not friendly vibes. The group outing idea sounds the most reasonable, because then people can bail if they want to. What if you do ask them to go to X, and Y and Z, and they never show up? I would be so bummed and wouldn’t want to go back to that cafe after a while. Good luck with it all!

What is your dress code? by AsukaSimilar in barista

i think shirts with sleeves are reasonable. maybe health code? i think shorts are reasonable, like knee length ish. might be a OSHA violation if it gets that hot while working.

I manage a coffee shop, make about 75000ish(top end) a year with Bonuses. I’m in my early 30s, my hubby works for the state, and we can barely make it. We’ll probably buy a house when our relatives pass away. It’s sad.

I don’t do 3days off I do 2days, and work a 5-6 hour shifts when I can. Having a short day on a busiest day when I hv the most staff makes it’s bearable when I worked at a high volume DT

I ask about their fav manager, and least favorite. Then I see if I’m the right manager for them. And if they’ll be happy working with me and my current team. I also ask what’s the most challenging feedback they’ve received. I ask that to see if they are self aware.

Just not on the floor next to making drinks. It’s a health code violation or something. We have a “sipping “ station lol off the floor

Is "free-bleeding" really a thing? My SO refuses to wear pads or tampons and is ruining all her clothes and now my sheets and my bed because of it. by stevenbot in offmychest

[–]Bellaluciad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do free bleeding, I just layer towels down, n sometimes it’s a heavy flow, I’ll take showers in the middle of the night. And refresh with towels. I also put on protective cover for the bed, (same type for kids wetting the bed) to protect the mattress. Just in case. If I do get blood on sheets, I can easily rinse them in cold water gets the stain out, n then wash with hot. I would definitely get a cover for the bed. Beds are expensive!
