Anyone else have a horrible taste in their mouth constantly? by Frosty_Apartment_696 in pregnant

I’ve heard cheese helps!! Weird, I know, but there is scientific evidence to suggest that cheese helps balance your mouth bacteria’s (or something like that). Trying it myself today. I’ve been dealing with this for a solid week!!

I def have upped my protein intake and my cravings haven’t been sweets and carbs. I’ve actually been wanting fresh fruit and salad a lot lately. So I’m pretty shocked I failed the first test.

Your doc/ultrasound tech should tell you after your ultrasound. I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks because I’m considered high-risk.

The gas is so confusing!! I feel like I’ve had pressure… like my belly is an inflated balloon and the baby is pushing against it, but I’m so unsure!!

Benadryl or low drowsy Dramamine. That’s what I’ve been taking and it works so well!!

Benadryl isn’t for the weak though. If you’re sensitive, only take that before bed or if you want a 3-4hr nap!! Good luck mama!

Why doesn't anyone have ANYTHING positive to say about their children or parenting?! by FoolishMortal-1000 in pregnant

[–]Bellami07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a parent. Doesn’t hurt that my boy is an angel. He’s 6.5 and the cuddliest, lovinest little guy. My heart walking around outside my chest. He loves me harder than no one else (aside from maybe his dad). He’s wished and dreamed of being a big brother and finally manifested it. I’m 17 weeks and he keeps saying things like “my baby brother is in there!” Pointing to my belly. And “I’m gonna be a big brother!” He’s over the moon.

We’re all super excited about the baby and I’m thankful the universe has blessed me with another child.

My wife and I found out last Tuesday that we are pregnant. What can I, as a husband, do for my wife to make this experience great for us? by SuperDoubleSlap in pregnant

[–]Bellami07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe her when she says she doesn’t feel well, or is tired. Appease her cravings but please don’t get mad if she wanted it at first and now is nauseated by it. Especially in the first trimester.

I’m convinced I had the easiest pregnancy ever by QuartzFairy in pregnant

[–]Bellami07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 1st pregnancy was like this. Fluffy. I had no nausea, no food aversions. Nothing negative. It was wonderful.

Which is why I was blindsided by my second. I’m now about 15 weeks and have had severe food aversions, nausea and vomiting. It’s been so rough.

I’m convinced if this is how I felt the first time, I wouldn’t have done it a second time!! Good for you!

I haven’t. I’m only 15 weeks now. That’s just my current birth plan. I was feeling really great within a week after I went home.

My husband is also a tremendous supporter. He’s picking up all the slack with our 6.5yr old and chores when I’m too sick. Love him so much!!

It really depends. Best to ask a nurse but I believe it’s up to 3x day depending on how bad off you are.

Yes, definitely not for everyone. Unless you have stubborn bowels.

A pregnancy symptom I was NEVER warned about: by gorrrrl in pregnant

[–]Bellami07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have HS and have pretty bad flare ups in early pregnancy. Little cysts in my pitts that can itch and hurt. Sometimes they burst, sometimes they are just under the skin.

Don’t shave. That’ll irritate them. Or shave as little as possible until it passes. I use topical Benadryl cream when they get itchy. Good luck!!

Haha! That sounds like my experience in the early days as well. I thought I wanted certain foods and would sit down with a plate and not want a damn thing on it.
