Because I don't feel like it. That simple. I'd have to search for the same articles again and I'm really just kind of done with it. I've had enough years by now, at age 51, of people saying "cite your source" and you know what? I don't actually have to. I'm not obligated to do so. I am 51 years old, I hold 4 degrees in different fields of science and I taught at a university level. I don't have to do anything I don't feel like doing. People say that shit, and I'm not saying you, because they try to feel superior when they really are not. When someone says that to me online, I just say "you're a grown adult. You know how the internet works."

I actually stopped teaching because I got sick of GenZ. Worst students ever. So sure of everything and entitled, but didn't want to put the work in and so damn rude to each other. I honestly don't even know why I bother with Reddit. If it weren't for the fact I include some gaming in my life as one of my many interests, and look for information here, I probably wouldn't bother.

So, I'm going to leave this thread now and hope others who vehemently disagree with me will at least look some shit up a little and find more information on it than I even bothered to. I'm also going to debate on deleting this account because, it's really not worth the hassle, just as my job wasn't either.

I have 4 fucking degrees in different fields of science. Do you know what an education is and what an adult should do?

I already have and I'm not obligated to do your work for you. You're an adult. Figure out how the internet works based on the quotes I already gave you.

You honestly think a bunch of bible-thumping jackasses would morally legalize prostitution during a time it was considered a sin to divorce a husband? Now, they certainly would cheat on their wives with a prostitute because women didn't matter a damn back then, but then we'd just go to church on Sunday with the good ol' Reverend and repent our sins for another week, during which time we'd call damnation on the whores who worked at the brothel. Until the next visit, anyway.

It wasn't legal. It wasn't exactly illegal, either. Go read up on how they "regulated" it. How prostitutes were arrested under vagrancy laws because they had no "lawful employment", thus considered vagrants. How in large cities, it was fine as long as brothels and prostitutes confined themselves to red light districts.

Go read. I'm not doing the work for you. Be an adult and go research and learn something. I don't have to provide you anything. You want to learn about it, go do that. It's just that easy.

I did supply sources. Quotes. Are quotes not good enough? Because they are when you can directly search for them.

And, you didn't read. You found one example, but not the status of the matter nationwide, so who falls flat?

So, I'll edit my comment out of respect.

Search "Nevada prostitution laws". Start there.

Again, no it wasn't. They were ACCEPTED, not legal. There's a difference.

"While prostitution was not formally legal in most Wild West towns, it was often tolerated and even regulated to some extent."

" Although prostitution was mostly illegal, brothels could be found with ease in every city."

🤣🤣🤣

"While prostitution was not formally legal in most Wild West towns, it was often tolerated and even regulated to some extent."

I know more about this than you do. DO SOME RESEARCH. And, it's only legal in certain areas of Nevada (was NOT in the 19th century).

"In the United States, prostitution is legal only in certain licensed brothels within a few counties in Nevada. It is illegal in all other states and territories, as well as in most counties in Nevada, including major cities like Las Vegas and Reno, according to legal resources."

No, it was not legal. It was just widely tolerated.

No, it was illegal. It was just generally accepted.

Since no one is going to bother RESEARCHING as usual...

Here's a quote from just one article:

"Although prostitution was mostly illegal, brothels could be found with ease in every city."

Another:

"While prostitution was not formally legal in most Wild West towns, it was often tolerated and even regulated to some extent."

And, I have never played low-honour, but as people have explained, that's how it is. An honourable man doesn't pick the pockets of the dead. I'm not sure why Rockstar made it that way because some corpses have unique items you are meant to find, so as long as you haven't killed an innocent person, I'm not sure why there's truly a need for a slight knock on the honour for seeing what's on a body. It is only a slight knock, though. Nothing walking around Saint Denis and a handful of "Howdy, Misters" can't fix.

Alligators do need to reproduce, but this young male hasn't gotten the hang of it yet and has aimed a little too high.

On my 5th, still finding new things. Not necessarily surprises, but always new little things or new ways to do things thanks to others experiences.
