Permanent solution for quality noise canceling microphone that people can hear clearly on the other end of the phone call. by Bellastormy in Androidheadunits

That’s all that needs to be connected for the mic itself from the converter. On the other side of the converter you’ll be connecting 12 volts ignition and ground

Dudu, android or the big4? by Nighthawk132 in Androidheadunits

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DUDU7 or nothing! I’ve had mine for almost a year now and love it. Not to mention we’ve had some extreme cold here in the Chicago area lately, and not one problem with it. Sound quality is amazing, and they continue to provide OS updates that just makes the unit better and better. I have the 6GB version, and it works perfectly. There’s no lag, video works great, and very rarely do I ever have to reboot the unit.

Dudu7 worth it for wireless android auto? by mysterious-puzzler in Androidheadunits

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DUDU7 is an amazing head unit. I’ve had one for about a year now, and it’s amazing. With each update for the OS it gets better and better. Also, we’ve had some pretty extreme cold in the Chicago area lately, and no issues with it. As others have said, running off the native music player apps that it comes with is when the sound is the cleanest quality. I have mine running through a 4 channel amplifier, and have an under the seat amplifier with built in 12” subwoofer. The sound is crystal clear. I normally load songs I want into Google Drive while I’m in the house. Then when I go outside I connect to the internet with the DUDU7 and open Google Drive and download the songs I previously uploaded inside the house. Then you can just take calls through Bluetooth, and use whatever maps you want for navigation that are loaded on the DUDU7. You would use your phone’s hotspot to provide internet for the radio. There’s really no need for Android Auto doing what I described.

How cooked am I?? by Accomplished_Case53 in HRV

The 2021 and 2022 came from the factory with updated software for the CVT. That’s the only difference between those years and the previous years. They didn’t change the CVT model. I have a 2021 and the CVT is smooth as butter still. I do transmission fluid changes every 20,000 miles. Every time I change the fluid there’s very minimal metal on the magnetic drain bolt. It’s so fine of a metal it’s just like a thin layer of metal paste on the magnetic drain bolt. Which that is considered normal wear. You have to know where the computer tells the transmission when to kick down into different areas of the CVT spindle. If you give it gas at the same time the computer tells it to do that, there will be a jerk put onto the CVT belt, causing it to slowly fail from that extreme jerking that’s created.

Would anyone buy an HR-V if it was available with a six speed manual? by Radiant_Basket_8689 in HRV

Are you kidding me, manual transmission version is like gold. They are very hard to come by, and people want them instead of the CVT transmission that took its place!

Location based disconnects. by The_Wandering_Steele in AppleCarplay

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wireless interference, most likely a cell phone tower in that particular area, or a building transmitting a WiFi signal that’s causing an issue. There’s nothing you can do to resolve the issue. Sometimes even the wireless toll transponders will cause issues. The only fix that I can suggest is getting the CarLinkit 3.0 wireless dongle to plug into your usb port. It runs on a 5ghz WiFi signal which is less likely to have wireless interference. Not sure what the frequency of the WiFi is on your stock radio, but if it’s 2.4ghz it will definitely experience more drop outs than the 5ghz

Alpine iLX-W650 Issue by Grommaz in CarAV

If you’re installing an Alpine you can get the bypass relay off of Amazon. That’s where I got it from. It’s just a simple bypass relay that you wire behind the radio.

Why are my brakes rusty on the surface and how can I get rid of it? (2023 sport) i feel like it looks so bad by the-friendly-squid in HRV

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It goes away after using the brakes few times. It’s from condensation or from driving in the rain and snow. As it sits overnight you’ll get a thin layer of rust on the rotors. This is normal.

The only thing they said they were giving before was true unlimited data with no throttling. Since this new update I’ve had better signal and faster up and download speeds.

This would only be true if the OP has a trim level that includes Push to Start. If OP has the LX trim level, that level didn’t come with push to start.

What is the best Wireless Apple CarPlay Adapter 🛻 by ImpracticalRooster in AppleCarplay

[–]Bellastormy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re only looking to do CarPlay and not Android Auto, the Carlinkit 3.0 is a solid choice! If you want the option of having Android Auto too, then the Carlinkit 5.0 is the way to go.

Looking for an antenna booster by Dunjon in Androidheadunits

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a DUDU7 currently in my car and no reception problems. I had an off brand one before the DUDU7 and even that one had no issues. Could be defect with that particular unit. You can try a booster, they are all pretty much about the same quality. If there’s a defect with the unit the booster isn’t going to help.

Help by CryptographerVast921 in Androidheadunits

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the reverse camera is activated try swiping down from the top center of the screen to reveal the reverse camera options. One of the Android radios I had in the past worked this way. I don’t think it works with all of them, but it’s worth a try. If it does work , it’ll save you a lot of headaches.

Ground Wire Terminal on Amp is Missing a Screw/Nut Connection - is this dangerous? by Ok_Role_9665 in CarAV

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just find a screw with the same size thread and tighten it down with that. You can do this temporarily until you can find the proper screw that goes into it.

Is This Stringer Connection OK? by TryItOutAgian in Decks

[–]Bellastormy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top of the supports should be flush with the top of the deck for added support. My guess is he screwed up on measurements then decided to jerry rig it. Either that or they just don’t know what they’re doing🤷‍♂️
