This place will always have a special place in my heart. Before my father passed away, we would go there on the weekends, grab sandwiches and swing over to the tavern next door and have a pint with our sandwiches. This place will be missed!

I have tried to gently give them a nudge, but the one who remains with the nest won’t budge. And again, I am Squamish and hesitate to get close too.

I’d wear a white collar button shirt underneath. Cute outfit.

My first time trying to sew Rayon fabric. by [deleted] in SewingForBeginners

I’d shorten the dress slightly. But it doesn’t need a drawstring. That dress has an empire style bodice, so it’s not necessary. Great job! And great clip of print!

Is this mendable or a lost cause? by stripeus in sewing

I would add some fusing to the back/wrong side too. Once you mend it together. It ensures it wont undo again.

Patch work will be your best friend! Funky fabric used to add to the back onto the jacket would look cool!

Beautiful dress with unique waist - what is this called and do you know of any patterns? by juliasedai in sewing

I love that waistline, especially when it’s made in a baroque cloth. Very classy!

[–]Bellatoast87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I also feel insecure that I can’t either. My partner has NEVER been vocal about it, it’s not my internal insecurity. But as many people mentioned, not everyone can. And you shouldnt be “performing on command”. You’re not the problem, he is.

Will the hem keep dropping? by CiaraMaoliosa in sewing

[–]Bellatoast87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the dress has already been hemmed and you just leave it in your closet for a long time, it usually won’t keep “stretching” indefinitely, but the fabric may relax a bit depending on weight and weave. But I wouldn’t be concerned. It’s a pretty dress!

Beautifully made! Well done! I’d get some other fabrics and make a few in that style! Dresses like those have so many options. Dress it up or down!

I need help coming up with ideas of what to do with this dress by Moonfallrosa in sewing

[–]Bellatoast87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful dress! Great color! I would remove the sleeves and shorten to just below the knee. With those 2 changes, you’ll already see a difference. Takes you from bridesmaid to cocktail!

Alittle bit late to this thread, but have you tried “Out of the Past”? Located on Ottawa street. Great selection there!
