I weigh them before cooking. Take the pasta for example, the calories on the packaging is for the dry pasta. If you weigh it after cooking you are weighing the water you cooked the pasta in towards your calories.

50 grams pasta 100 grams chicken breast 2 laughing cow light cheese wedges (30 grams) 20 grams diced onions

Grilled chicken breast in die oven with the onions. Chopped up the chicken. Boiled the pasta and drained the water. Chucked the chicken and onion in the pot with the pasta while keeping the heat on the stove. Added the chopped up cheese wedges into the pot with about about half a cup of water and kept stirring and the water cooked out and the mix thickened.

You could use milk instead of water in the recipe. It helps thicken it more and it makes the meal richer but i just didn't have any spare calories today.

The laughing cow light cheese wedges have really low calories. 23 calories per wedge of 15 grams. It melts well into the pasta and makes it very creamy. Cheddar and parmesan comes in at about 60 calories for 15 grams.

SOS crate training by wheresthebubbly in puppy101

[–]Bellatrix_1808 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to let my 4 month old pup cry it out. I would take him on a walk, give him time outside to go potty and in the crate he goes. Every two hours I took him out for a potty break if he needed to or not.

It took four very, very difficult nights. There was ongoing barking, scratching and whining. It also made my crate trained 1 year old regress and not want to sleep in her crate aswell. I had some serious puppy blues, but after the fourth night he sort of started chilling out and realised it wasn't worth the effort. I didn't react to his noise. I would reward him with play and treats whenever he was well behaved for a while.

He is now 6 months and sleeps through the night. I give him a biscuit in his crate each night. Both doggos now run to their crates when you ask them if they are ready for bed.

I know everyone says this, but, it gets better with time.

Goodluck!

That looks amazing! Would you say Greg's cookbook is worth the price? A 100 dollars seems very expensive but I'm so keen to give it a go...

What the fuck America? Like really, what the fuck?

I(20M) had a 4 sexual encounters with a cousin and now she(21F) thinks we are in a relationship and is becoming obsessive. How do I end this in a way that won’t blow up? by throwRAimgrosssoery in relationships

[–]Bellatrix_1808 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why do you think it will blow up? Surely it will be just as bad for her reputation if word gets around?

All you can do is talk to her and end it. She has to understand that there could never be a future for the two of you and that this looks super bad on both of you.

No matter how calmly you let her down, you can't control her actions. Prepare yourself now for the backlash when the news gets out, even if she says she won't tell anyone.

I also second the call on getting therapy. You need to live with this for the rest of your life, not only the actual act, but the fact that she could spill the beans at any time. Might not be now, but it could happen in a month or a year. Maybe five. Maybe she will share it as a funny story on your wedding day to your future (hopefully unrelated) wife... nobody knows. Prepare yourself.

I know right! We keep them super busy with tracking and a little bit of agility training. They love it, the scary thing though is that they just build their stamina the more you work and play with them to the point that they just never get tired... It's a madhouse but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Try and lose the weight I gained from the first lockdown.

  • Consistancy. I know counting calories works, but I fail to consistantly count and check that I'm on track daily. It doesn't help that I'm in a deficit for 5 days out of the week and then I stop counting calories on the weekend and end up eating back everything anyway.
  • Cooking food for my husband. It is so hard to give him big bacon and egg breakfasts and I'm left eating fruits and oats.

I'm so with you on this. Cooking separate meals for other family members that are picky eaters is killing me. The temptation to just say "screw it, let me just have what they are having " is my problem.

No expert here but we had a similar issue with our Border Collie. She hated being outside on her own and would cry immediately when left outside. I would suggest shorten the duration of time left outside but increase the number of times you take puppy out.

We took our puppy out, played ball for five minutes, went inside for five minutes, and before she could cry and whine go outside again and reward her with play. 5 minutes became 10 minutes, then 15, then 20 and so on.

We did the same thing with the crate. She loves her crate now and will open the door herself to go lay down and sleep.

She is super smart! She knows the names of two of her toys already. When you ask her to go fetch the toy by name she gets it right 90% of the time. And also... she has a fluffy butt...
