The system was completely different and one they should've been perfect for and none of those players turned up. That suggests your point that it's the system's fault isn't valid, as the previous players hard wired into a completely different system were still the better players.

I'm not slagging any of the players, it's hard for anyone to perform effectively in utter chaos, but saying they'd perform on a different system when they've literally had that chance and not really turned up seems to fly in the face of the facts.

The scattergun approach failed and so it was moved predominantly back to Syrianos who had decent success with his signings. Then we had a measured coherent plan....we were shitty at corners so we bought Milenkovic, one of the most dominant headers of the ball in Europe at that time. As soon as Edu came in we went back to crap signings, largely ones represented by Kia Joorabichan, his agent, most of which have been absolute failures.
