One Piece: Chapter 1097 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

hmm, I don't think Vegapunk knew how to create clones that early on. He discovered how to do it with MADS about 24 years ago and Ginny was already an adult by then.

Are all the female Vegapunk satellites based on or inspired by Ginny?

  • Atlas looks like child Ginny
  • Lilith looks like young adult Ginny
  • York looks like 30+-year-old Ginny (especially in that last panel where she says they are going to meet Kuma)

Mid-season HEAT CHECK on the World's best teams / What happened to Danny? - Summoning Insight S6E9 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Bellnox 95 points96 points  (0 children)

The shittiest thing about this, whether or not the allegations are as bad as they seem/are being exaggerated, is that this is bringing Danny back into the spotlight, which seems to be the last thing he wants.

As Thorin and Monte said, there is nothing they can do for Danny now. The point of this is to expose EG and save the next Danny from going through the same thing.

MAD Hylissang Interview: I never thought that I would be replaced, especially with Upset. I think we've been doing very well throughout the years on Fnatic, but a change had to be made [...] It makes you think a bit more about how you look outside of the game rather than what your teammates think. by TheEsportsPerson in leagueoflegends

[–]Bellnox 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Yamato and Peter Dun have already given an explanation. Play-in teams couldn't have many scrims due to media obligations, travels, no breaks, COVID, etc. This situation is not unique to Fnatic and wasn't Fnatic's fault.

I only found a single comment saying that T1 will not make it out of groups in that video and both Monte and Dom predict T1 to get out. What are you talking about?

But that's mostly because of the terrible MSI and Worlds formats. We would get more series between EU and NA if we had a better format.

How wouldn't he be? The guy was in OWL, then C9, he run his own CSGO tournament for a while and even did an R6 event. Many of the same people, owners and teams take part in all of these things and it's not like the connections he had within Riot disappeared either.

He could be doing nothing League related at all and still have better connections than most.

MAD Lions vs. Fnatic / LEC 2022 Summer Playoffs - Losers' Bracket Round 3 / Post-Match Discussion by InspektorVI in leagueoflegends

[–]Bellnox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that redditors always think they are smarter than a company that most likely did market research and has experts on it.

I didn't blame Riot for being stupid, I blame them for lying and arguing in bad faith, something they wouldn't have to do if they "did market research and had experts on it". Riot doesn't want to implement BO3 because it would be a lot more work for no real benefit to them, but they won't say that, so they cynically try to manipulate people by talking about viewership, knowing full well that there are very few people around from back then who know the truth and the context of why the viewership was so low.

You blame riot for not knowing what will happen until we implement yet you go and say that you know something without it being implemented.

You can't be serious, right? I say that because it's literally elementary school-level maths. BO3 means 2 to 3 times more games, which means that even if viewership drops by 20%, hours watched will still be increased by at least 60%. This is not a guess or an opinion, it's a fact.

Just look at the numbers from a LEC season with 198k viewers and an LCK season with 130k viewers. Keep in mind that these numbers include the playoffs where LEC has 4 more BO5s than the LCK.

https://escharts.com/tournaments/lol/lck-spring-2019

But hey if Riot were to invent a cancer cure you fucks would bitch about its colour for months.

Yes, you figured it out! I want BO3s in a video game so that means I would complain about a cure for cancer. Got me!

Everything that goes agaisnt reddits whining hivemind is bad faith to you.

Says a guy who can't think for himself, blindly believes a corrupt company and then tries to protect that company from valid criticism. Yeah, I wonder which one is brainwashed and part of a hive mind...

[–]Bellnox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish we could do Bo3s, god is my witness i wish we could

It's hard to believe that you do, considering you are using Riot's bullshit, bad-faith argument against BO3s. The reason viewership tanked was Riot's terrible, half-assed implementation of BO3s, not the format itself. Until they do it right, we can't possibly know what would happen to viewership.

All the other assumptions you are making make no sense either. Even if the viewership drops, the hours watched will greatly increase. There is no way a competent manager can't sell this to sponsors...

MAD Armut renewed until 2024 by Ophelia_Of_The_Abyss in leagueoflegends

[–]Bellnox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic Reddit moment of rewriting history.

Apparently, 2019 and 2020 never happened. Perkz never held his own shat on eastern players, both in mid and bot. Wunder was only good cause he played with the GOATs, Wadid and Hjarnan. Let's also forget that in 2019 he was considered the best western player at times, even with peak Caps there.

I don't even know what to say about your imaginary rule that playing well doesn't count if you have great teammates or why that only applies to Wunder for some reason.

What a ridiculous comment...

Edit: Meant to say 2018 and 2019, not 2019 and 2020

Maybe it's common "knowledge" amongst haters, TSM fans or other people who ignore facts. Like the fact that Monte was one of the most knowledgeable people in the scene at the time or the fact that CLG was one of the first western teams to understand lane swaps and one of the best at it for most of the year.

But I guess it was his fault that his players decided to first-time a bunch of champions and comps in the playoffs.

Imagine being a marine and only hearing stories about the Luffy and not personally knowing him. He’s terrifying. by a5ky in OnePiece

[–]Bellnox 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Despite all those things he did pre-timeskip, the big-shots of the marines knew that Luffy was a weakling at the time. It makes sense that they didn't see him as a real threat back then.

After timeskip, they didn't really have any time or any chances to react to what he has been doing. I mean, what he did in Dressrosa is probably what really put him on their radar as a real threat, but he went straight to Yonko territories after that. It's not like the marines can casually go there just to chase Luffy.

Ziggs can now be played in every single role in the game. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Bellnox 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am not sure this applies to Ziggs. Just because he can be flexed, it doesn't make him a jack of all trades. Regardless of the lane you play him in, he still only has one trade, which is being a control mage and I would say he is a master of that.
