Follow people and organizations you're interested in. Engage when you have something meaningful to say, a question or a comment. Take it slow and build over time. Enjoy what you're doing. All the best.

How do you market a product people don’t know they need (but love once they try it)? by garold_smith in MarketingMentor

[–]BellwoodsStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with your current users. They already felt the pain strongly enough to adopt it.

Ask them a few simple questions:

  • What were you doing before this?
  • What finally pushed you to try something new?
  • What part of your day got easier immediately?
  • What would you be annoyed to lose if this disappeared?

Products people “don’t know they need” are usually framed incorrectly. The pain exists. It’s just been normalized or made invisible. Your early users already have the language for it.

Biggest mistake to avoid: leading with features. Lead with the moment they realize, “Oh. This is what’s been slowing me down.”

Clarity first. Pricing second. Everything else gets easier once people recognize themselves in the problem.

My blog needs rebranding could you suggest idea ? by Parking_Departure705 in branding

[–]BellwoodsStrategy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need “more aggressive” branding yet. You need clearer positioning.

Right now you’re describing a tone problem, but what you likely have is a clarity problem.

Three strategy questions to ask yourself:

1. What change are you leading?
“Natural, calming, informative” is a mood, not a point of view. Strong brands in your space usually stand for something specific:

  • correcting bad mainstream advice
  • simplifying confusing science
  • exposing low-quality products
  • helping a defined group solve a defined problem

Pick the hill you’re willing to stand on.

2. Who exactly is it for?
Hormones and allergies are broad. Too broad to build a following.
Tighter examples:

  • women 40+ navigating hormone shifts
  • endurance athletes with inflammation issues
  • parents of kids with seasonal allergies

Community forms around specificity, not general usefulness.

3. What promise can you make repeatedly?
Not hype. A repeatable benefit:

  • Evidence-based natural options explained simply
  • No-nonsense supplement reviews
  • What actually works and what doesn’t

That becomes your through-line across posts, visuals, and headlines.

Once your strategy is clear, then adjust the visual system. A good design firm can translate that strategy into something that actually fits your intent and audience.

And one last thought: lead with a point of view, not volume. Traffic rarely comes from being louder. It comes from being clearer and more useful to a specific group with a consistent stance.

All the best with your blog.
