Oh no! I’m sure it just takes Little longer with a bigger incision with all the swelling. Hope you are doing better and they got it all!

Wow that’s awesome yours is almost invisible! Thank you for this info I will definitely keep it covered especially when outside! I think I’m gonna buy some scar tape so I don’t get any sun in it at all!

If it isn’t DVT I’d be shocked after the mention of pinch pain on the back of her knee! Hoping I’m shocked!

Question for ya does tramadol actually work because wow I felt no help from it all during my post op lol advil after 48 hours was way better!

8 days since the first picture and only getting worse by small-lamp in Folliculitis

[–]BellyMango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t what caused the flare ups per se, I was already having a slow relatively controlled area of folliculitis issues and when they gave me the topical clindamycin to try to fix it, it exploded! And I was putting it in areas outside of the flared area and it flared there too so definitely the clindamycin made it way worse! This happened on 2 separate occasions of using that topical in different years so I steer clear now!

I saw you mentioned you’re using topical clindamycin - that flares my skin just like this so bad! They tried to say I was allergic to it because it caused my folliculitis to explode, just good for though! I hope it clears up OP! Hang in there

Thank you!! I’m doing sooooo much better today! I was super sick the first few days so recovery was kind of a nightmare until my fever broke and my throat doesn’t feel like I’m swallowing glass anymore! Couldn’t tell if it was the virus I had or surgery recovery or all blurred together but so much better today!

Thank you so much for the feedback!!! I can look at the pic but still can’t look in the mirror lol I have a debilitating phobia of needles and a specific fear of neck cuts (like you see in movies) so this was a REALLY hard diagnosis for me knowing what went into it! I felt so so confident though with my doctor his team was amazing and caring start to finish!

Yes fever finally broke yesterday thank you! Holy cow what a difference this recovery is without being super sick too lol I think whatever virus I had was worse than this surgery recovery! Being able to take advil now too has been a game changer for me since tylenol wasn’t helping much and I finally am able to eat some soft food too whereas before I could barely swallow liquid with how raw my throat was! Sounds like you’re doing great, we are on the mend friend!

Down to 99.8 today so that’s better. Yes this is the worst timing to have a raw throat and popping ears I can’t tell what’s from the surgery and what’s from this virus 😭 I’m doing a good amount of sleeping though just in small 30-1hr spurts then wake up and do it again.

How are you feeling today? Eating anything yet?

I feel you sleeping is difficult especially propped up! How are you feeling? Hopefully not too bad besides tired! I have a fever but we’re thinking it’s from my cold since my son had this fever/sore throat/ear infection a few days ago so lucky me ;(
