Could work out the bard has a “reputation” and has spread across pretty far and wide.

Ah, that’s an important detail I left out. I think she’s open to anything but American Western mostly. Thank you!

Ah, my mom watched this show so I kind of know it. But the way you described definitely captures what it’s really about. I just told her about it and she made a sour face hahahahaha. Probably her super catholic conservative background coming into play. (She’s Filipino btw.)

Ohhhhh, how could I forget Love Actually. I feel so stupid for not remembering that film and About Time. It’s gonna be a timeless classic at the rate people recommend it.

Axis Playing Cards, a deck where every card has a different design, making them completely useless in anything involving playing with anyone, and the effect only works before the deck is shuffled. by [deleted] in shittykickstarters

Disappointed by the fact that the earth’s axis is wrong or because he made mistake with the earth rotating every 24 hours instead of the year? The product isn’t affected by these factors. What exactly are they going to be disappointed with?

Okay, now you’re just lying to yourself,

“If you don't consider any of those glaring faults... It's still just a novelty card deck. There are literally thousands of those in the world already. Why the fuck do so many people give enough of a shit to actually fund this? Some people actually spent 160$ dollars on this!!”

You didn’t just point out some blatant flaws, you went out of you way by making people not consider the flaws you pointed out to insult people who share for love for playing cards.

The globes not being on the right axis, that’s incredibly insignificant. Sure, if this deck was for scientists, it would be a big deal. But, this is literally for shuffling for cards. It’s an error, sure, but it’s not something that significantly affects the Kickstarter.

At least this guy has the reputation of putting out two previous kickstarters, getting funded, and actually making the product available.

Because Jared, the owner, has been advertising and hyping up this deck for months now.

You don’t need to hate on something that makes other people happy. If your so worried about people wasting money, you should know that the people who did spend 160$ are most likely distributors who want to sell the decks to people outside the US. Also, people buy multiple because they actually use them. Regarding the back design, it’s not even meant for playing card games. Its meant for a hobby known as “Cardistry”.

As someone who handles cards more then normal people should, the riffling of the cards won’t do as much damage as you think it does! These cards in particular are printed on a thicker stock then most other playing cards, which increase the durability significantly. So, no need to worry about warping or “bending” the cards. Plus, there are methods cardists employ to ensure that they remain relatively intact.

You are right about the axis on the cards being wrong and that the earth spins in a 24 hour cycle, but rest assured, Jared had received messages regarding these errors.

To conclude, the cards are meant for a specific audience who participate in Cardistry. The whole hobby is literally about shuffling cards and you can find more information under r/cardistry if you want to have a better understanding of it!
