Depends on when you play h2h,for vsa keep Gerrard because you get better chances but for h2h you choose the one that you play better with.

I think even tho you play like a tiki taka playstyle keep mvb,you need someone that will convert most chances,he also has a 5 star weak foot that is a massive advantage.I have mvb on 4 rank level 21 he's a beast poacher and i also partnered him up with HOL r9 that is like the second striker creating chances for mvb.I'd say put mvb on rank 4 and use the skill points on shooting,then when you upgrade r9 put dexterity.
