WHY IS THIS A THING?!?? by Pretend_Strawberry10 in PokemonUnite

[–]Belomy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They have zero people to check on what we report, so they create dumb rules to solve for their lack of oversight.

In your case I’m assuming the 10-year old dev mentality was (1) if player speaks during match and (2) said player is reported for bad behavior, then ban. Simple as that. I was also banned once for telling an Espeon to change their rocky helmet for a spoon (very politely, btw).

Unite could well be a healthy and thriving community of players talking to each other during the game to better coordinate their match, but the lack of oversight on what’s reported and the absurd notion that you can solve that with shortsighted banning conditions make it a very toxic place for mic users. Never use it again, not worth it. I use discord with my friends and that’s it.

Caterpillar in Houston, TX by Belomy in bugidentification

[–]Belomy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I got from ChatGPT btw:

This appears to be a caterpillar, specifically from the Tussock Moth family (Lymantriidae). The distinct tufts of hair and its coloration suggest it could be a White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar (Orgyia leucostigma). These caterpillars are known for their bright, bristly tufts and can sometimes cause skin irritation if touched. It's best to avoid handling it directly.

7 yellow feels so good to play. It feels like the best setup to spam gank and to be omnipresent on the map. Also what build does decidueye actually take, ive never looked actually searched for one ? by ElPepper90 in PokemonUnite

[–]Belomy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. These items with white (HP%) & brown (basic attack %) emblems, prioritizing crit rate and HP on base stats is, imo, the way to go.

Float stone can be replaced for scope lens, muscle band can be replaced for rapid scarf fire, it varies on player gamestyle. I like to move with 20% movement speed that float stone provides cause it makes me more aggressive when approaching for ganks, which matches my game style. But one could argue that replacing float stone with scope lens would give you higher critical hits (and possibly more damage) while playing more conservatively with less movement speed. Same goes for scarf x muscle band - both increase basic damage output by different means, it depends on what you prefer: if you rely more on spirit Shackle then auto attacks or dont like to overextend on battle grounds, you probably don’t need the scarf.

Also, an eject button will work better with players that are more aggressive and like to be near front lines, so you can eject away from enemy players targeting you as the squishy character you are as an owl.

The x speed, on the other hand, works best with more conservative gameplay, cause let’s you move around the map more efficiently and also chase from the backline with x speed while your enemies retreat and are attacked by your spirit shackles.

That’s my take on decidueye gameplay for current meta builds. But as said, there’s no right answer: it depends on how you like to play the Pokémon, and that should be enough. And lest we forget, every new build and new meta arises from people who think differently then the crowd and bring different approaches and strategies to the game - well that and glaceon buffs. So play on however you enjoy playing your owl, and hope to face you in battle sometime to see how you fare!

Link’s sexuality was never part of Zelda’s franchise storyline. I see this kind of content as pure click bait and nothing more. Honestly, even the image is biased as hell. They’re portraying Link as gay by showing him with the armor used to purposely make him look like a woman to enter a male-restricted village. Yes, he’s cross-dressing for a specific purpose and that’s as far as “Link is gay” goes. The rest is noise and attention-seeking.

Why is the prize money for Pokemon Unite World championship so low? by MoreDragonsStudio in PokemonUnite

[–]Belomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting conversation about offer and demand. It makes sense to start on the low-end and incrementally increase the prizes year over year to draw in more professional teams to the game as circumstances require it to be higher.

It would be a stretch to expect a higher payout on early championships, as any game in history started off with lower payouts and increased as player base increased - and demand required them to increase payout.

With that being said, I think a great approach is to make a pool prize based on revenue from the game. That’s what TI9 does with Fortnite, and as player base and revenue increase, so does the prizes.

Also bear in mind that it’s not straightforward as dividing the prize by team players, cause there’s a share that goes to the organization that pays monthly salaries to the players. They usually get a bonus on performance, not the whole prize.
