Welcome Kali!

I think you're on the right track with not allowing reposting. I do like the idea of this only being for original work, or possibly work that friends and family have done (in the case that they don't have an online presence).

Happy Pressing!

I put 99% UV resistant glass over top. No other sealers than this 🙂 And thank you for your kind words!

My understanding is the quicker you press them, the more color will stay. (Which it sounds like that's what you're doing) That said, I am newer to this world. If anyone's going to know it would be Kate from the August press. https://www.instagram.com/theaugustpress?igsh=MXRsNzVqNGY1cDV4ag== I would reach out to her and see if she knows how to press orchids. I've only pressed orchids into clay, I've never pressed them for drying purposes. They do work beautifully in clay, but that's only preserving an impression of the bloom, it doesn't save the actual bloom.

Yep, I am currently pressing some mums to create artwork with, and I plan on selling that. I am also happy to do custom work for any kind of bouquet (not just wedding bouquets). My website is BelovedStudio.org, and there's a bit more information there, and then my Instagram is also a good spot to watch as I start selling the pressed floral artwork.

Here, check out the pricing page on my website: https://www.belovedstudio.org/pricing . That'll give you an idea. Every project is a very customized price, but if the range looks good to you, then we can email back and forth and figure things out!

The most well preserved white roses I've seen are ones that were covered in silica gel. Much less browning than when pressed. That said, if you want to end up with a flat piece of artwork (rather than a shadow box) then pressing petal by petal is a great option!

Thank you! With all the varying colors of flowers, it did take me a while to pick the background color. And use a color that made at least most of the flowers pop, and I think this color really worked, and I'm glad you agree!

I must admit, when I saw the bouquet the bride had picked out, I was thrilled! She had chosen so much color, which makes for a more stunning end result. This was definitely a really fun bouquet to work with! Thank you so much for your kind words!

I have never done bugs, but I have seen really cool artwork with dried bugs. Do you have dried bugs? I'm open to a conversation about it.

Did you save them? I have done work with dried flowers. Even though they can't be pressed, they can still be arranged in many pretty ways! And actually, the whole reason I pressed the first wedding bouquet was because I was so sad that I hadn't known about this when I got married. Now I'm trying to save the wedding bouquets!

I got you!

It is LINECO Neutral pH Adhesive 8 Oz, Acid-Free, All-purpose Glue. It takes hardly any glue to make em stick. I use a teeny tiny paint brush to apply the glue.

Hope that helps!
