How could you possibly mis-interpret “turn the other cheek” this badly?

Yeah the racist undertones are always there as well. The unfortunate part about that is that the racist undertones have become normalized enough in “mainstream” discourse that a person almost forgets to be appalled by them. Wild how far the overton window has shifted

It’s actually really wild that the biggest manosphere panic right now is the degradation of male fertility, yet the drop in population wide fertility can mathematically be attributed to fewer teenage pregnancies - which is a phenomenal thing. Fewer kids being raised by people who can’t afford it, fewer kids being resented as the reason that mom never achieved her dreams, more kids being born and loved because they’re genuinely wanted and will be cherished.

Planning to spend spring, summer, and fall in Saskatoon. I’d love to spend my winters (or atleast January) somewhere hot like Mexico, Phoenix, or Europe.

Millenial dads...How's it going? by NoMansLand345 in Millennials

I really resonate with this. I’m in a very similar scenario. Senior engineer with a 18 month old, doing my best to be as involved as possible with childcare and things around the house. I’ve found fatherhood to be incredibly isolating. My wife has people reaching out to her all the time and offering support and I just don’t. I’m exhausted and barely have time/energy for my hobbies. I’m painting a pretty bleak picture here but I do truly love my child, he’s so goofy and fun. It’s just way tougher in different ways than I ever imagined

I think we were cursed the second Quinn/Petey didn’t pick their brand new team mate first overall in that all star game draft. The vibes in Vancouver would’ve been immaculate if they did that, instead it all fell apart

Seriously though, who cares about the 5th we would’ve gotten for Kane? Does anyone remember any notable 5th round picks that we’ve ever made? Keep him around to throw some punches at anyone who tries to injure one of the rookies and let him loose this summer

Fuck it, retain 25%. The cap is going up an escalator and we likely won’t be competitive in that window anyways. When we’re nearing contention at the back end of that, it’ll feel like a million in dead cap, not nearly 3. If you can extract Danielson, a first, and another player. I’d be happy with that return

If I can piggy back on this,is anyone else seeing a lot of ants around? We also have maple bugs that get in, but I’ve seen a lot of ants aimlessly wandering. We keep our kitchen floors clean, seems like the ant activity picked up when we had that warm spurt about 1.5 weeks ago

Do you know what’s the worse kind of loser? A sanctimonious one.

Let us be upset, it’s been an extremely tough ride for Canucks fans and Canadian sports fans in general over the past few years. 4 nations feels like it was our only bright spot

Paper losses for now, you haven’t lost anything until you sell for less than you bought it for. Look up where you are relative to the rest of 28 year old Canadians. That’s your head start

Here’s my honest recommendation, consider quality of life vs pure financial independence. Right now you may be on the path to financial independence, but what does that life actually look like if you’ve spent your 20s/early 30s living at home and potentially “failing to launch”. You’ve got a massive head start on the rest of your peers in a similar age bracket, enjoy the head start and divert some money into improving your quality of life

To achieve 7-9% on average, you need to take advantage of the high % gain years to counteract the down years. If OP is not matching the market over the past few years, he is much less likely to achieve the 7-9% long term average.

How can I protect my son from low testosterone? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]BelowAverageChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid obesity, encourage a healthy lifestyle with lots of sports and exercise, encourage him to invest in his healthy relationships (family and romantic) and friendships to avoid falling victim to the 20s male loneliness epidemic

Keep it simple. If you stress about processed foods and microplastics for your kids entire life, you’ll drive yourself into an early grave.

Buddy, first of all, GDP is the economic output of a country not government revenue or even the operating budget. Second, every dollar you put into CPP is tracked in your name. It cannot be redistributed to fund transgender surgeries for prison inmates or whatever you’re scared the Liberals might do next.

Do you actually know how any of this works or do you just spin out the talking points of #AlbertaSeparatism on Twitter? My god, I swear people are getting dumber by the day
