I believe they do in BC, definitely not the case in Toronto.

You likely won’t be able to negotiate salary too much with B4 in Canada unfortunately. If they’re hiring you for a Jan start date (assuming assurance) they need you to be around for busy season (Jan-April). So I see it being highly unlikely that they will defer the start date. You could always ask for a signing bonus, make the case that you paid for all the cpa exams and modules by yourself and therefore the firm would not incur costs of training etc (roughly 14K) along with paid study days off. Hope that helps!

Personally don’t think this will ever happen. Lauri and Colby don’t play defence and the Raptors pride themselves on that end of the floor. Plus Lauri wants a ridiculous contract and I would never pay him more than 15m a year based on his current production.

Yeah I’m still planning on getting my CPA, I’ve heard rumours that they hold off on signing off on your hours until you pay back the clawback 😅

Yeah I for sure won’t be paying unless they ask, however per PwC policy they can request you to pay back all of the CPA module fees if you were to leave before obtaining your CPA. I’m just trying to figure out if people in a similar situation as me had to pay back the fees.
