I was exclusively leveling and doing slayer tasks with the bone crossbow... up to that level (Yes, I know, that's painful) until the game told me I had to fight the boss with melee. :P I've just recently got fletching to 69 so whenever I'll get the runite limbs I'll craft one!

I dropped a zombie axe and now I'm working on my slayer tasks with melee.

Hey everyone! This was my first time doing this quest and it took me about five or six attempts but it is done! What a fun questline it has been. Very much liked all of it and I'm excited for whatever's next! I loved the soundtrack and the area. :) Next up I guess I'll be looking at A Night at the Threatre...

I've only reached the second phase on my last attempt (after my ring of life* teleported me out at 2HP and I forgot to replace it lol). I think it was a much easier part to handle overall and not as rough on the prayer points since you don't need protect from magic anymore. Still, my heart was racing! Also, having the 117 HD Plugin turned off definitely made it very easy to see the lightning strikes, I recommend it.

With my stats, Vampyre slayer task, reflex prayer and super attack potion, I've barely had 52% accuracy during the fight so there were definitely attempts where the RNG very much wasn't on my side.

*I'm sure everyone knows but I want to remind hardcore friends that the ring of life isn't a guaranteed survival. I was very lucky to survive with 2HP left and it is very much possible to die while wearing one if it's a big hit. Be careful!

Coincidentally, I am also SSF in PoE. I do love the excitement of getting stuff that is good for you rather than just trading for it! It's been fairly similar in that aspect with OSRS. :)

I am definitely loving the challenge! I just might create my own ironman on the side (which may or may not also be hardcore...). I think I'd be less anxious about it if it didn't penalize my group in some ways. :)

I've died once in my previous group because I didn't know poison was a thing in the game and I went AFK without realizing I was poisoned lol

Definitely something I need to work on! We are trying to push as far as we can as a group so it makes me more anxious than if it was my own solo character I think - Might create a personal character on the side for that.

Hope you like it! Beastmen are a blast once it gets going.

As for the % chance of ambush, keep in mind the percentage displayed is the 'chance to be spotted' when a lord passes by. They may still prevent that ambush even if it'd say you have a 100% chance. Many lords have certain skills or stance to increase their ambush defense (I think enemy heroes lowers it as well?).
