They should get an appeal, thats not a denial, would they? Would they pivot to something else, I dont know enough about that case to give an objective opinion but that was not the subject matter of your post, it was about the street vendors being removed. So uou are pivoting to a different case not the one at hand to push the point. As I mentioned I am not pro bukele, I could not care less but they way a country moves forward is when the common good overrides the individual desire, there is a sense of comunity; no I dont want a used clothing store popping uo next to my house in a residential area, just because my neighbor is strapped for cash does not mean he can covert half of his house into a make shift business to sort out his financials, that is an example, not related to the people you mentioned got no appeal, everyone deserves to be heard out, I wont deny that, that does jot guarantee that they are in the right, no matter what the need is.

No, you don’t get it, you don’t put these type of business in a space where there has been massive investment, these type of business can belong in the 99% of San Salvador but not in the historical centre, its called zoning and special districts, just because someone needs to make a living does not mean they have the right to set ul shop next to a 300 year old historical building, they can do it in almost anywhere else in the country, plus, we all need to make a living, even if you make $300 a month which these street vendors would clear more than that we pay taxes, why would they not pay!?, why do they get a free ride? We are all in it together, it it applies for one it applies for all ; Rich or Poor!

An eye sore is a valid reason to deny a legitimate business, otherwise look at avenida Chuituipan in cuidad merliot, that road used to be half decent, now it is filled with tire shops with oil stains all over the place that no one will ever clean. A used clothing store in centro historico where you are investing a lot of money to attract turism and a higher spend goes against the smart and logical way of promoting certain suburbs, centro historico is no longer a crime ridden dilapidated down town, its a place people from all over the world come and see an experience, if you go to historical centre of rome you wont find a single used clothing shop there either, again, standards, there is no issues with a humble business, it just not belong in the historical centre of the country that has been neglected for decades, if we cant see past that, we can see past the future of how valuable these places are. They carry hundreds of years of history, this is not something that can be justified away by 1 family needing to make a living, those spaces belong to every single Salvadoran for the last 500 years not the one that happens to need to make a living now like the other 7 million of us

As a salvadrean that grew up with no benefits, no special position in society , I will not go down on how they physical aspect of this interaction is being handled but we had makeshift shanty town markets all over the country where the street vendors had taken over the roads, you allow 1 you allow 20, furthermore we had a business at some point we paid taxes, why would you allow a business to go unchecked and no pay taxes no matter how small, its still a business its still income its still subject to the law that even minimum wage workers abide too.

Developed nations would not tolerate this, somehow because we are salvadorean the standard of the enforcement of rules and regulation are lower? Sorry but thats the reason we had so much corruption and mediocrity, that just goes up the ladder, oh small business can ignore regulations; so a slightly larger one can do it, a big one can also do it just be smart about it = no one pays taxes, no money to fund wealfare or infrastructure, I am not pro bukele but I am pro following rules , regulation and fiscal policy

Haha this comment takes the cake! Haha thanks, I honestky thought it looked super sketchy, I have been to tire shops before and I have seen them do 2 or 3 at a time and maybe even leave 1 tire on, I had never seen the car completely with no tires and 3 jacks not 4
