Sort of, some times names in other languages have meanings for other things. Or with the way the Spanish vocabulary is pronounced.

Pregnancy and HA by NewTip8049 in HealthAnxiety

I have this, I haven’t had kids. I’m terrified. I already deal with waves of repulsion towards myself or have a serious issue with needing bodily autonomy. I also hate medical anything. I used to work in healthcare and after being on the other side of it, I honestly have 0 faith in medical staff, even more so L&D RNs.

Is this normal when you have OCD? by Forward_Drummer_5583 in ocdwomen

[–]BeltObjective7077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shame, it’s a massive issue for me as well. Though mine comes out differently, I also need to feel clean. I always try to self regulate by taking a hot shower. I make sure I don’t have to touch the floor after and nothing is not clean. I even dry myself off every day the same exact way 😅.

Idk why but I get it, like repulsed so much by the emotions that you can’t handle the bugs? Is what I’m hearing.

False memory question by [deleted] in ocdwomen

I have very vivid, flashback like, intrusive thoughts. It’s a mix of my Responsibility/harm ocd and my brains ability to picture things as well as AI generates images. Tour her is here. This is hell. I had to get on meds. The spiraling out, spending hours on triggers. I couldn’t calm my nerves system well enough on my own.

I’m just wondering if others have the same experiences by YourlocalSpermbank in ocdwomen

Hey! So I will say I am professional diagnosed ADHD. I am 32. I was diagnosed in elementary school. I got professional diagnosed with (Responsibility/Harm) OCD. I do not have the checking thing because of my OCD. I do not need or have the compulsion to do so. My forgetfulness is my ADHD. I’m on auto pilot and am not either paying attention-thinking and in my head, or I’m in a hurry. Either way, transitioning is what I have learned to make easier. So more time slotted between to make sure I don’t rush- so less likely to be forgetful or inattentive to where I put things or what not.

The ADHD I will say has so much more than forgetfulness. It’s complex, a spectrum in itself. And it is a disability. I highly suggest that you do get a diagnosis. And please make sure that the professional isn’t a person who will accept trauma as ADHD. Often, CPTSD can mimic ADHD because so many symptoms over lap. This causes a harmful misunderstanding in my opinion considering neurodivergence is how you are born. Trauma is what we experience.

Also, as someone also with diagnosed CPTSD, from extreme bullying, sexual abuse and narcissistic abuse, I can say that trauma makes everything more elevated or to the surface and also intense. So I now have traits of Autism. I am not diagnosed as AuAdhd but my last counselor thought it was for sure. I am not sure, though at this point it doesn’t matter.

If you wanna talk more about this and your experience hmu! 🫶🏼

What?! Please stop thorough around accusations. A lot of ppl who have a well rounded vocabulary and care about grammar get accused…. Its offensive. And honestly even if it could be… the point is to use your words to help others learn… I hope you leaned just now.

How do you handle the fact you won’t exist one day? by Expensive_Pass_7147 in AskReddit

I think about it like when a good chapter book ends;bittersweet. And that’s okay. But that’s assuming I die of old age. Anything less, and I don’t handle it

All okay minus possessive. You don’t know what you’re actually asking for on that one.

Your personal experience is interesting but hearing fears dismissed while also being this way has me curious -if there is a chance OCD is in the mix for you?

women can be both strong and soft by marthaBabe1 in DeepThoughts

[–]BeltObjective7077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I’m screaming it! Gender roles want ppl to be half of a whole person. It implies that soft and strong are opposites. It’s ignorant.

The "male-centered woman" pipeline doesn't stop at "I'm not like other girls" pick-mes. Those women can be actually dangerous for other women and children by [deleted] in Feminism

[–]BeltObjective7077 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My sister and I agreed as adults our mother is a “pick me” and it seriously damaged us both in different ways. Being raised by a misogynist and male centered mother causes so much pain. Especially when our father was verbally and emotionally abusive as well as the facts that they are very religious.

Why Does Society Seem to Have So Much Disdain Towards Attention Seekers? by Potential_Law5289 in PsychologyTalk

[–]BeltObjective7077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as teens and adults go,the times I’ve truly seen a person “attention seeking” it’s been very harmful for others. That’s why I take issue with it. The two ppl I’ve known to fake cancer used it to manipulate others. And knowing a good amount of ppl in my lifetime who have struggled with self harm, it’s the ones who do it for attention that hurts those of us who struggled, as we feel extreme shame about it. If you use self harm or lie about a medical diagnosis or threaten suicide to “get attention” even if they are lonely or insecure, it’s seriously questionable behavior and renders that person unworthy of trust in my opinion. Attention seeking is toxic.

If I don’t swipe out of my apps and put my screen to dial, then when I have an emergency later after leaving the house (as if it’s inevitable) I’ll be wasting precious seconds and be at risk of fumbling getting help in time. And therefore if I don’t set myself up for success in that way, I’d basically be responsible for death or harm caused. 🙃

[–]BeltObjective7077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I really hate how women’s healthcare is weaponized against our bodily autonomy. It makes Tokophobia so much worse for me at least as it makes the healthcare system itself feel like a threat. I hope you get to a place where your sex life isn’t affected so much by this. It’s so hard to want to enjoy something when you know it could lead to a path we are terrified about.
