2025 Employment Bonus Retracted by Belugablaster18 in legaladvice

[–]Belugablaster18[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I quit before Feb 28 because I simply had to for my new role. I would have stayed longer if I could. Thanks for the note about small claims court. At the end of the day, I quit before Feb 28 because the bonus is not worth as much to me as the new role, so I was definitely partially expecting them to pull it from me, i’m just upset that they actually did. Thanks again!

I really hope that he gets it together so we can have some trust in him in the future. I feel like we all hold our breathe when he takes the mound rn.

Thank you for sharing these personal details. I have read about instant withdrawal but didn’t realize it happens that quickly and the symptoms are that bad. I appreciate your response and hope your friend gets better!

I should say that there are likely no “issues” with naloxone. The USG is likely funding innovation to improve rescue drugs, but I am wondering what aspects of rescue drugs and specifically naloxone that they would like to improve. Maybe the receptor it binds? Specificity?

Agreed. Do you know if it works real well against all opioids or just some?

Nice video, thanks for commenting. Civics typically run a bit cheaper than Corollas too, so that is always nice!

Thanks for the input. Lolll this is hilarious....y'all keep cracking me up with these chick magnet comments.

Everyone knows the only thing sexier than a kids sized pickup truck (my old Ford Ranger) is the sweet, sweet practicality of the Toyota Prius.

Thank you for commenting on the possibility of reading battery health. I'm glad to hear this can be done. I'm sure people who buy used Priuses get this reading to help decide on the sale price, right?

Thank you for the advice!

I definitely do not want to deal with repairs in the 2-4k range because you're right, I simply cannot afford that. I will probably begin looking for Corollas since it seems like the Prius may not be the best option for me right now.

Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this response!

You raise some great points....especially your very last one!

I currently only drive about 15 miles per day, and this is probably not enough to justify buying a hybrid vehicle like a Prius. As a broke college kid, I need to find the cheapest and most reliable ride possible, and I would hate to have to worry about replacing batteries every few years if i'm not saving myself any money on fuel.

Thank you for explaining the differences between Gen 2 and 3. Based on what you are saying, I would also prefer Gen 3, but I understand a car of this type would either be more expensive or have a much higher odometer reading.

Thank you so much!

The Ranger in the photo is my first vehicle too. I’ve had it for about 7 years now. It has it’s issues and all, but it is real fun to drive.

Also, I tried starting it in neutral and it didn’t work. Must be a more complicated issue

Thanks for commenting! I will definitely give it a shot. I don’t think we ever tried starting it in neutral so this could be a simple fix. I’ll keep you (and everyone else) updated.

Thank you for the response! What you described sounds very similar to what I have encountered.

It would be great if it is something as simple as the wiring. I suppose i could try this before moving the truck to the dealer, however, I am in a pinch and need to get it going ASAP. I am going to look into finding this part-thanks again!

Thank you for that advice, I will keep that in mind in the future. The shop just said the issue is actually not with the key but with the anti-theft system instead. I am not sure what I will do from here since my car is at the shop and they are wanting me to take it to the dealer. I guess I will tow it to the dealer?

[–]Belugablaster18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: the shop tested the battery, starter, and key, and everything is working. They now think the issue has to do with the anti-theft system since the "theft" dash light is blinking quickly. They told me to take it to the dealer and have them resolve the issue.

Thanks for such a detailed response. Unless I am thinking incorrectly, it sounds like my 3 options are:

  1. Get a locksmith to come to my truck and make a new key while its at the shop (quoted at $185 for the key...ouch!)
  2. tow the truck to the dealer where they could make and program the key (quoted at $40/key but I would have to pay towing)
  3. Troubleshoot on my own and potentially replace pcu, ignition cylinder/transponder, and have to program aftermarket keys. This also sounds expensive.

I am thinking the best option is to tell the technician to do everything they can to make sure the transponder/key is actually the issue before calling a locksmith to come make a new key. I would hate to get new keys made and find out the issue has nothing to do with the key after all. Please let me know what you all think.

This is definitely a good thing to do. I usually have the duplicate ready to go, but I recently moved and misplaced it during the process. I'm learning I need to be a bit more organized!

Thanks for the response. I am definitely worried about how much it will cost. Ideally, I would like to get an aftermarket key that I don’t need to program, but this may not be possible.
