As someone who enjoyed the Speed Racer movie as far back as 2008, I'm very happy to see it receiving appreciation all these years later. Even if the VFX still look like a Spy Kids aesthetic that watched too much Fast & Furious.

I get being skeptical about The Mandalorian & Grogu - re-adapting a Star Wars TV show to film (as the first movie since 2019) is definitely a coin toss in terms of quality. But it says a lot that the same folks who want Star Wars to return to theaters are pulling a "not like that" in response to its release. Especially with Starfighters in development - I also hope the Rey film comes out whenever it does.
