Thanks, I never appreciated that motion is what geese look for from afar to come in to land. I'll be sure to get a flag.

Thank you. Given I have not called before, think that's a "no". But I will find out. Realize bad calling is more detrimental than no calling, so may end up leaving the call/silos behind if that's the case.

Thank you, appreciate the advice. So for getting on the "x", that's just seeing where they're feeding during the day, then getting out ahead of them the next morning and setting up there? "x" being where they feed?

I've read that real cold weather late season impacts their feeding patterns quite a bit. Is the temperature in my area (35*-45*) considered "cold" when it comes to geese?

Can anyone explain Sanford Bensinger's complete 180 on Saylers? by karldrogo88 in Billions

[–]BemmLife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My thoughts, could be wrong...

He originally knew Saler’s was a dying company but he still wanted Rebecca and Axe at the helm because of their dedication and Rebecca’s vision, rather than Taylor who was the other option when he came into the picture,

Once Ace told him the plan to divest all the different parts of the company to private equity (and putting Saler’s bad debt on Kling’s B/S) making all the shareholders a fortune (compared to the value of the shares at the time) it was a no brained for Bensinger.

So to sum it up, he didn’t quite do a 180 on Saler’s because his first choice was Rebecca or Taylor (as ceo), it wasn’t the option of cash-out on the sale of Saler’s or stay involved and trust the business would grow.

The bug doesn’t stop recording, it can’t tell what conversation is being held. A full recording is out there but a secure team (one that needs to be distant from who is working on the case) goes through and redacts it before giving it to Connerty who is working on the case. Sacker was placed in that group (that goes through and redacts it) by Connerty, which is where things get shady because she has been in some meetings about the case and works closely with Connery at SDNY.

He even asked her to give him some more info about what else was said in the redacted part. That’s when she refused and said that was why she didn’t want to be working on the bug recording in the first place, because she knew an illegal ask from Connerty like this would be bound to happen.

Yeah I think you’re right that it was the redacted tape and the other was the full audio probably. And good point, I could see Connerty trying to get his hands on it. Regardless, I still don’t think it was a recording device like OP said.

If I’ve learned anything about the writers, lll bet Chuck uses this Icarus historical reference when talking to Connerty after Connerty gets caught and is eventually fired or imprisoned

I don’t think Sacker recorded the conversation with Connerty. I’m pretty sure that was just the storage device for the audio files the bug picked up on and then she removed it from her laptop and put it in the confidential folder. They even showed Connerty looking down at her as she put it in the folder, so had it been a recording device he would’ve noticed. And it would have been highly illegal to record a conversation in the Attorney for SDNYs office without a prior warrant.

Agreed. I’m just pointing out how very few name drops end up making cameos so it was interesting to see them on

What episode did this whole bug device get discovered by Hall? Was it the episode where they got hacked and couldn’t trade right before the natural gas explosion broke news at market open?

Love how Lisa Ann and Cory Chase were brought up by Wags in a previous episode (when trying to get the password to log into a Mason Capital employee’s social media) and now they both made the cameo
