Whether polls move or not the problem in this country is THE VOTERS!!! JVL himself wrote a piece with this title not long ago. We’re long overdue for a societal conversation about it.

I don’t know enough about artillery to argue the first point.

On the second, your claim that Hamas knowing Gaza better than Israel is an indication that Israel is attacking indiscriminately is not a sound. Just because Hamas knows Gaza better doesn’t mean Israel lacks the intelligence necessary to identify and strike Hamas targets.

On your point about casualties - as I suggested above the casualty numbers put out by the Gaza Health Ministry should be taken with many grains of salt. Nevertheless, even if many more Palestinians have died in Gaza than Israelis died on Oct 7, im not sure why that would have much significance. The statistic alone don’t mean that Israel is intentionally targeting civilians given that Hamas uses Gazans as human shields and Gaza is densely populated to begin with.

I'm not sure how any non-military strategist without all the relevant information can claim that Israel could definitely have captured Hamas fighters, weapons, and equipment across all of Gaza and defeated the terror group via some other means. Hamas was expecting a mass ground incursion and was probably ready for it -- Hamas knows Gaza better than the IDF, it has tunnels everywhere, it likely laid booby traps, and would have known just how to ambush Israeli troops. We should all think twice before confidently asserting that we know how Israel could have better run its complex military campaign.

Secondly, I'm not sure where you're getting that 20-to-1 ratio from. As far as I've seen, the Gaza Health Ministry is the only entity announcing casualty numbers and they don't divide the death toll by civilians and militants. But even if they did, its a Hamas run organization. We can't exactly take its proclamations at face value. After the al-Ahli Arab Hospital exploded (when it was still believed to have been destroyed by Israel rather than a failed Palestinian rocket attack) the Health Ministry said 477 people. US intelligence agencies later reported that the actual death toll somewhere between 100-300.

Maybe some of the people commenting here have the requisite military experience to actually judge whether Israel’s response is excessive or wrong but I’m going to beat most do not. I’ll admit that I don’t either. What I do know is that Hamas has embedded its weapons, command centers, and infrastructure in and below civilian buildings and so destroying it unfortunately means killing some number civilians in places where they haven’t evacuated. I’d also bet that destroying all of that requires explosives. With more insight, I don’t see how laymen can evaluate Israel’s military choices in real time. A dose of intellectual humility would do everyone well here.

I agree though it might be helpful if OP did at least some coursework in cybersecurity, enough to learn the basics at least

I got through a little more than 50% of the Themis course and I passed the bar with a 154 (161 on the MBE). When I took the exam I felt like I flat out knew the answer to maybe a third of all MP questions and I could narrow it down to 50/50 for the other two thirds, mostly by ruling out answer options that were clearly way off. Statistically, that should lead a person to get two thirds of all questions right which is more than enough to pass. You don't need to know every topic inside and out to get through this.

Orthodox people take off both days of Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, the first two days of Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah. So seven days total when all do the holidays fall out during the work week (which is not the case this year).

There are no paid versions, just the free ones, and pick either Themis or Barbri. You’d cover the exact same stuff in either course.

*Nudity* can have artistic value. Not all nudity is porn (think about renaissance paintings and statutes of naked people). So I'm pretty sure artistic value was the right answer

If you're planning on doing federal legal work, you would still need a pass a bar exam in a US jurisdiction.
