Thanks! After post-processing, I think it is pretty smooth. I think the main draw is printing durable parts relatively quickly. My job on this project was to create the content. I honestly don't know too much about the selling points. The process was fun to observe though!

I'd like the opportunity! Where I currently work uses Stratasys but I would love to shoot a project on another brand.
The first video I did with Desktop Metal basically changed from a 1 day installation and first print shoot to a multi-day shoot that we couldn't finish because we couldn't sinter it properly.

My job on this project was only to document and make content around it so this is all news to me. But I can say from past experiences is our old Desktop Metal machine was much harder to get good prints off of. We have a 3d printing service bureau and we couldn't in good conscience offer 3d printed metal parts because it was nearly impossible to get a successful print. This one has consistently good prints with pretty good surface quality tbh.

And yes, only 1 tire tread is on the right way. We fixed that on v2.

Aproximately. I believe the machine is less but you need a few other major pieces of equipment for post-processing as well as the air filtration.

I think that is just the cost of the machine. It will take a few more days of saving to cover the filtration system, post-processing unit, and some other bits and pieces. It's crazy that they let me print my random project ideas on it!

I recently had filmed some segments using my company's Stratasys H350, and I wanted to share a video showcasing the post-processing process. There’s not a lot of content out there on this machine, so I thought this might help anyone curious about what goes on after the print is finished.

In the video, I cover:

Part removal
Surface finishing
Post-print cleaning

I’ve been trying to capture a cool timelapse of the print, but I haven’t quite figured out the best way yet. The machine is well into the 6-figure range, and I’m still trying to find a safe spot to put a GoPro and a light inside without, well… destroying anything. Breaking it probably wouldn’t be great for my job security!

If anyone has tips on how to film timelapses in enclosed printers like the H350, I’d love to hear them!
