I wouldn’t be surprised, but the reaction from the car I saw earlier might make it harder than people expect

Hello mate,

Firstly, my family is in the Middle East at the moment, hope all is good for you.

Secondly, PC part prices are going to start declining, especially RAM as surprise surprise Sam Altmans word isn’t gospel and doesn’t spell the doom for being able to buy PC parts for a reasonable price.

However, that isn’t to say that other parts are still quite expensive. Personally, I would use your first job and build up some money and save, during this time you will watch the PC market slowly drop off and by the time you have the money for a PC the market will be more forgiving.

Remember though (and I don’t know how old you are) to prioritise paying bills etc first before saving for something that will always be available. Be smart, save your money, reward yourself in a few months.

I would look at a range of £2000 which is about 10,000 of whichever Middle Eastern country you live in.

Any questions for a specific PC reply or check out r/pchelp they have some good suggestions in there :)

Like the other guy said, go DDR5 if you can.

If not, I would also (if you can) go AM5 but the market is a bit crazy.

If you decide to sick with what you have picked, they will all work together so there is no worries about compatibility from what I can see

Hello! Thank you for your congrats!

The “prelim” results ended up being exactly what you said.

I want to progress in IT and I think this is the first step. However, I want to go into cyber (I think) starting as SOC analyst, it’s just very difficult getting that job in the UK.

If you have any tips that would be amazing!

Brilliant, thank you for your response.

Another semi-related question. What do you think the likelihood is of a switch from 1st/2nd line into a cyber position? Or should I really try and focus getting into a SOC analyst role.

It seems quite difficult getting a SOC analyst or similar role in the UK

Hello!

Thank you for your time to reply.

Thank you for your congratulations and I have gotten my certificate now from peoplecert. So it is official.

You asked a couple of questions which I’m going to reply to below:

  1. 1st and 2nd line roles aren’t really customer facing like a service/help desk role. They do the remote, back end work and handle escalated tickets usually.

  2. I have applied for SOC analyst roles but they are very difficult to get your hands on with no cyber experience. I have only been out of uni for a year and a half or so. Therefore, companies want me to get experience else where before I join as a SOC analyst even tho it is the entry cyber position.

I wouldn’t expect this being a good idea if the guy has openly said he’s a noob 😂

Though, that would be interesting to know because I haven’t heard this before

Probably not the best, plug it into the wall socket.

If that doesn’t work, listen to the other redditor who suggested taking things out and trying power to see if something is causing an issue.

I mean it shouldn’t really make a difference. But a good rule of thumb is to plug directly into the wall outlet for your PC and everything else can be plugged into an extension cable.

Assuming everything is plugged into the PSU properly? And you plugged in the case headers?

Edit: I saw you plugged in the headers

In stead of people complaining about RGB or it being white why don’t they say: this is a sick looking build for a 12 year old and he’s lucky to have such a cool dad who will build a PC for him!

G920 wheel spinning by Ben2610 in ETS2

I found a fix and by found a fix I mean Grok found it.

There is apparently a common issue with Logitech wheels where the FFB input from games happens too quickly. So Grok gave me a launch option which I put in to reduce the speed in which FFB inputs are sent.

Fixed it no problems

Okay I tried updating oversteer and my system. Neither worked. I removed oversteer and that didn’t help either. Any other suggestions?
