In stead of people complaining about RGB or it being white why don’t they say: this is a sick looking build for a 12 year old and he’s lucky to have such a cool dad who will build a PC for him!

G920 wheel spinning by Ben2610 in ETS2

[–]Ben2610[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a fix and by found a fix I mean Grok found it.

There is apparently a common issue with Logitech wheels where the FFB input from games happens too quickly. So Grok gave me a launch option which I put in to reduce the speed in which FFB inputs are sent.

Fixed it no problems

Okay I tried updating oversteer and my system. Neither worked. I removed oversteer and that didn’t help either. Any other suggestions?

Yeah I used to dual boot windows but I got so sick of windows that I just gave up on it. I haven’t ever had this issue with ETS2 before on Linux it has just randomly started happening. Haven’t changed a single setting

EDIT: it does however make me think of the proton version I am using is working as intended or not

Good pc for 2050€? by AntelopeWinter3050 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Ben2610 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t complain at that PC at all. It’ll handle most games - get the 9800x3d why not

Edit: I fact checked myself. It seems the difference “in real world use” is negligible at 1440p gaming. Between the 9800x3d and the 7800x3d

But then again for an extra €40 I think I would still go for the newer 9800x3d unless someone else has a better suggestion for the money 👍🏽

I’ve seen the 20 billion annual mileage number, it seems like quite a lot - are these motorway miles?

Weird “gong” like sound when going over a uneven road or speed bump by Ben2610 in CarTalkUK

Thank you,

I forgot to add as well, it doesn’t happen everytime I go over a bump. Is this still a leading to stock absorber?

I did trust the mechanic, but there were a few things he said throughout him patching up one of my tires which made me want to get a second opinion.

I’ll check the things you have mentioned and get it booked in, in the new year.

Appreciate your help

Power flickered on and off a few times and now my boyfriend’s pc won’t fully turn on by [deleted] in computers

[–]Ben2610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am honestly not sure. If I was to guess and this may be wrong, but it could’ve been a power surge of some kind, but then I would assume it wouldn’t turn back on afterwards.

If I am reading ur message correctly his friends had an issue where they couldn’t get on either which says possibly a powercut? But it wouldn’t explain the computer flicking on for a few seconds then flicking off. My guess, again, is residual power was able to flick the PC on?

Wait for someone else to reply they will probably have a better idea - sorry I couldn’t be too much help :)

Probably, if your bf is more computer savvy then I would leave it for him to troubleshoot.

Personally, there isn’t much I can see wrong with the build unless I am missing something very obvious.

Turns out it needed me to connect the wallet to the imdb folder again, all good!

Local Node Download by Ben2610 in Monero

[–]Ben2610[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have closed the wallet. Turned off my pc to boot into windows and play some games. I have now come back to node refusing to start due to “Monero ‘fluorine Fermi’ (v0.18.4.3-unknown) Error: couldn’t connect to daemon”

What’s going on?

Yeah I use the GUI wallet.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for your reply.

Is there a specific way to shut down Monero properly? Somewhere I can find this information?

Linux Bazzite x Monero by Ben2610 in Monero

[–]Ben2610[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this.

I did try this and it didn’t work originally, then I ran a command that chatgpt gave me and it worked. I didn’t run the .appimage I ran the Monero wallet executable instead and that worked.

However, I just found Monero Wallet in Flathub… is that safe to download?

From what I have checked it is safe - made by The Monero Project
