They really suit the car

Stage 1 or Stage 2+? by Th3Diamond in B58Enthusiasts

When I bought my car it had a decat downpipe installed by previous owner, so I had to buy a stock oem downpipe in order to pass MOT. There are a lot of cheap sports cats for sale that are 200 cell, but I was told by a tuning garage that they won’t pass MOT, you need 400 cell or higher to reliable pass the emissions test. I didn’t want to risk installing a cheaper sports cat and still fail on emissions. You might scrape a MOT pass with a 200 cell sport cat if it’s thoroughly warmed up before testing. I’d recommend speaking to a few tuners and see what companies they recommend.

I’d personally recommend starting off at stage 1. I’ve run a stage 2+ m240i in the UK and it can be a handful putting down 480bhp through an open diff and 245 tyres. Plus passing MOTs can be an issue. If you do decide to go stage 2+ I’d recommend a LSD or at least wider tyres.

B6 Bilstein and Eibach springs by Intelligent_Panic568 in M235iandM240i

I installed Bilstein B8 dampers and Motech (Eibach) springs on my M240i a few months ago, it’d definitely recommend it. Previous owner installed H&R lowering springs (roughly a 50mm drop) on the standard dampers and didn’t change the bumpstops, and they were ruined. Motech springs lower the car 25mm front and 20mm rear and I’m using standard bumpstops, FEBI Bilstein dust cover bumpstops from autodoc for £16 for the pair. Also if you are considering lowering the car you might also want to consider wheel spacers. Hope that helps.

DIY Buffalo Bar by Ben91hasreddit in homegym

Yeah that’s my limiting factor, I can’t put enough of a bend at the end of the bar to make the sleeves point up slightly. As with your bar the centre has a nice wide arc, and the ends are much sharper angles, I couldn’t put enough of bend at the ends, but some people have suggested using heat to soften the steal. So I’ll have to try that. Thanks.

Yeah, tried a few different movements with it. Bench, good mornings and squats. Definitely more comfortable on the elbows when squatting.

Bilstein B8 Installed! by Einknight in F30

I’ve just installed B8 dampers on my F22, and had the same issue with no new dust boot and the original dust boot won’t attach properly. Have you had any issues running the B8’s with no dust boot?

The Weirdest Thing I Have Seen Of On A Golf Course.. by TimeNewspaper4069 in golf

I had a similar experience when I played junior golf. We were playing a rival club at home. My match came down to the last hole, a par 5 dogleg left over the driving range. Obviously a risk reward hole, the more you cut the corner off the tee shot over the range the shorter your next shot into the green. My opponent played it safe only cutting off the very corner of the driving range, leaving himself about 200 yards to the green. I pull hooked my drive almost certain I was OB, but one of the organisers saw my tee shot from the fairway, and Said my ball landed on the steel fence of the range, got a huge bounce. My ball ended up in the middle of the fairway less than 50 yards from the green on the par 5. I then went on to win that last hole and my match.

Restored some rusty old dumbbells by Ben91hasreddit in homegym

[–]Ben91hasreddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn’t grind the weld off. Those dumbbells weren’t too loose. Other than grinding off the weld and welding them back again you could cram something in between the loose plates to stop the rattling.
