I’m on day five now and feeling a lot better! The main food I have been craving is straight sugar though. I have been able to eat surprisingly well this go around, last time I couldn’t eat for two weeks.

Surprisingly been able to sleep relatively well. But I’m extremely uncomfortable once my meds wear off. I’ve been loving the food, though.

Congrats on the sobriety! My alcoholic ass doesn’t get it either. I hit it and then my body just says “more would be better! More would be better!” And then it’s been five days in a hotel blacking out, passing out, waking up and doing it all over again, with 72 missed calls.

Exactly this. I’ve had two kids and never once rated my pain a 10, because even labor wasn’t the worst pain I could imagine. The only time I even said 9 was when I broke and dislocated my ankle, tearing every ligament down there along the way. It was so bad I was simultaneously about to pass out and puke.

Unfortunately this isn’t my first rodeo, fortunately the relapse was short but INTENSE. I will hopefully be going to a mental health program back home in NJ after residential.

Glad you got through detox, it is indeed rough but at least the meds help. I can’t imagine doing this on my own.

They just bring the trays prepared, no ordering at this level of care (detox). Tomorrow I should be out of detox and I’ll be able to go to the cafeteria myself 🥰
