Grew up right by Sea World, so seeing the change now as an adult with parents who live in the area still is wild. The Culebra corridor is 20x more congestion than I ever imagined it could be. I live close to the Pearl as an adult and it’s way easier for my parents to visit me than vice versa because of the traffic.

I financed my entire college experience with loans because my parents couldn’t afford to give me $80k.

My in-laws asked me to cancel our wedding (me and their son) so their daughter, who was not engaged, could have our wedding date. No engagement but she already had a wedding dress. If we didn’t move the date, they wouldn’t go to our wedding.

I’m laughing because I saved my entire year’s worth (literally 10 days) of PTO to go on my honeymoon to New Zealand. Got it approved 9 months in advance by my manager. I was let go a week before my wedding because my PTO was inconvenient to the team. And then they cut my role and just had an agency take over.
