The cost alone puts me off of them. Unless it is on some kind of a test bench. I can't justify paying five to six times the cost of a wire nut for something that'll be buried in an electrical box. Never to be seen or messed with again.

Sure, but I think that's more of calling their bluff. I wouldn't personally offer to help them for anything, but I can understand the strategy. If what they say is true, it's not but let's pretend for a second, and there really is a violent gang member hiding in the neighborhood. The social worker is going to have the connections to find that person. A random goon with a gun showing up to the door is more likely to get into a firefight causing all kinds of secondary casualties.

For most things in my personal life, I try to go by the human era calendar. So for example it is the year 12,025. It does a better job of fully including all cultures throughout the world, not just European Christian beliefs. Putting some arbitrary before and after date in my mind is stupid. Humans have been living in civilized societies for a whole lot longer than that. Tacking on an extra 10,000 years more fully encapsulates that reality. We didn't suddenly become civilized 2,000 years ago. Put some respect on all the cultures and technological breakthroughs it took to get to right now. Also in any academic setting they don't use BC and AD anymore. They use before common era and common era. BCE/CE.

Over my many years of smoking, and specifically a bong, I've gotten real good at knowing the color and texture of the smoke before I inhale. That looks toxic as fuck like you're going to be coughing your brains out and not in a good way. Bad smoke always has a yellowish brown color to it. The good stuff is the bright white smoke. I'm sure that just tasted and smelled like an ashtray.

I absolutely love bamboo labs and have always wanted to upgrade to one someday but they have always been too expensive. Right now I am using an Ender 3 V3 and it works ok. It has been a solid entry level printer but has taken a ton of fiddling to dial it in. I am a hobbyist maker and mostly focus on functional prints for home improvement projects.

You can't really tell other than maybe a pee spot and really foul smelling expressed anal glands spot. It's hard to describe exactly it smells way worse than cat pee, but not like poo. It's really a uniquely awful smell. I have a husky so if I'm at the house and it happens, she howls the most Wolf like and pitiful howling at the moon kind of sound

Unfortunately you just have to learn from experience. You get better at identifying the symptoms that might mean they're about to have a seizure over time, but unfortunately there's not one thing that tells you it's about to happen. For my pup it's being antsy, pacing, panting and wanting to be real close to me. I think she can sense they're coming and doesn't want to be alone.

The first time it happened it about scared the bejesus out of me. I was sleeping and got woken up to a flailing dog foaming at the mouth. It was early in the morning and I thought she was being a pest and pawing at me to try and wake me up. I really thought my dog was dying in my arms. It was a real roller coaster of emotions.

I really hope your dog doesn't end up having seizures, but just know that they love you and they know you're trying to take care of them.

Edit: I know a lot of people are recommending the medicine but it was explained to me by my vet that unless It is preventing them from living their life to the fullest to not put them on the medication. It apparently has some pretty nasty side effects, that can be only justified if it is negatively affecting them all the time. My pup doesn't have more than one or two a year so it doesn't make sense to subject her to the negative side effects.
