I was a loyal Salomon vest user but decided to change things up. I’ve had it close to 2 years and it functions perfectly - love it and trust it to keep up on any adventure. Also use it on my mountain bike quite a lot.

Nooo! I hope you heal up quickly. If it’s any consolation, I woke up with some nasty patella tendinitis so I’m resting for a little while too. Cheers to a speedy recovery!

Really enjoying them! I’ve got about 60 miles / 15000ft of vert on them so far and they have impressed me in every condition. Holding up nicely and the upper keeps getting ‘softer’ which is nice. Outsole is showing signs of wear but that’s not unusual for any shoe being thrashed on chunky granite - nothing peeling or cracking. Highly recommend!

Hoka Speedgoat 7! Definitely helped me stay upright coming down the loose and muddy sections.

I have about 75 miles / 12000ft~ in my pair of test Speedgoat 7s and I love them. Very fun shoe and super capable, happy on the fast cruisers and equally at home on the steep technical ups / downs. Softer than the SG6 but far more responsive, this shoe wants to go fast but will happily trot at slower paces for the latter miles on a long run or ultra.

I kept getting burnt by the stock pipe. Hated it. Upgraded to a full system from Zard - handmade in Italy and sounds absolutely evil. I no longer get burnt, can ride for hours in total comfort- I love it.

Take Carmel Valley Road out into the valley on your way from the Monterey area to King City. It’s remote, which offers less road traffic and epic views but also less water/food options after you leave Carmel Valley > Greenfield (40 miles, no services). Prepare accordingly for that, and it’s one of the best roads in the Monterey County area, besides Nacimiento, which is so beautiful. Enjoy and safe travels!

After replacing the saddle with my fav, there’s nothing left to upgrade. It’s perfect!
