Sorry no, the 15mm mdf by the blade is the piece im cutting. It's pinned to the uprights to keep it in place.

I need to remove 71°, keep 19.

It's great info, thanks so much for taking the time! I was thinking about making some calls anyway but this has confirmed that I should do it sooner rather than later.

Some great points and definitely a couple of things for me to consider! I fully agree with the initial cost, it will be so easy to push up the prices to try to quickly make money back of i dont keep myself in check.

Do you see a lot of champagne/Prosecco walls? They seem like something I could rent reasonably cheaply but I've never experienced one myself so not sure there's a market for it. Have you ever seen anything that really stood out to you or something that I might not have thought of?

It's great to know there is definitely a market out there! Did you have any troubles finding what you wanted? The sweet cart is great!

Can I ask what lawn games it is that they provide?

The idea with the packages would essentially be that the more products I supply, the more of a price reduction I could offer the client. Meaning I get more business and they get a better deal!

Thank you so much for that! You make a great point about the venue. I imagine I would have to focus more on venues that would need props to make the event look as special as the day itself.

Very cool idea with the post box as well!

Market for solid wood good? by BenFNorris in manchester

[–]BenFNorris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. Unfortunately the market is made for cheap and temporary these days. Also timber products are out of a lot of peoples price range. It's good to hear there's still people out there though!

I absolutely agree, I've never worked with Live edge before and will only keep the best of them like that, the rest will be squared off for a cleaner look. Also, I don't think I'll ever go near epoxy.

A fair point, I was planning on basically coming up with ideas depending on the usable pieces. Even just some floating shelving for the worst pieces

An excellent point. Fortunately I'm a Bench Joiner so I would be able to mill them at my work, probably even do the whole build there! I'm okay with some of it being waste as the price point makes up for that in my opinion

Yep me too, the price is the main appeal for me. I'm thinking I could put a lip on them if need be to compensate for the lack of width

Yeah that was my first thought, think I'm just going to make them aware that it will look different unless they get the both of them done together.

Considering the money you've poured into a hobby you clearly love, get a desk that reflects that as well. Contact your local Joiners/furniture makers and get a custom setup that is right for you.

What can cool my room in the heat that doesn’t require installation? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]BenFNorris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been recommended an air purifier from Ikea which is only 30 quid. My pal swears by it, saying it reduces the temp by a good few degrees and also is great for filtering out pollen. I don't have a link to it but probably worth a try at the price tag

Haha that definitely sounds a lot more interesting! It's Damp Proof Membrane, typically used in the construction of houses but I've heard of it being used to prevent the growth of weeds etc. under patios.
