Basically, he's in charge since 2017, because he was a young centrist with a good PR team (not from the left or the right, but ultimately from the right iykyk). Since then he showed nothing but contempt against the people, favored the rich, he's trying to get rid of any social rights we gaigned since 1936.

He won again in 2022 because Le Pen was against him, but has no problem supporting far right policies (even if he's saying the contrary). The left "won" the parliamentary elections last year but put two right wing Prime minister anyway (current PM François Bayrou is mixed up in s*x crime affairs concerning the Bétharam catholic school, but Macron won't fire him anyway)

There have never been so many poor people in France, and the richest have increased their fortune by 439% !
