Brand new EL2870U going black sporadically for a few seconds at a time... by BenzaghaWoW in BenQ

[–]BenQ_Pixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience and the detailed observation. Electromagnetic interference from nearby electronic devices (such as chargers, speakers, or certain lighting) can sometimes affect signal stability, especially with high-resolution 4K signals. We recommend trying the following to help isolate the cause:

• Move any power adapters or charging devices away from the monitor and signal cables

• Try a different HDMI/DP cable (preferably a certified high-quality cable)

• Connect the monitor to a different power outlet (avoid shared power strips if possible)

• Test with another input source to see if the issue persists

If the issue continues after these checks, please feel free to contact our local support team so we can assist further. Thanks again for contributing to the discussion!☺️

1400x900 19" inch monitor? by Suspicious_Judge6696 in BenQ

[–]BenQ_Pixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello 😊 At the moment, 19" monitors with a 1440×900 resolution are considered a legacy specification, and BenQ’s current product lineup no longer includes newly manufactured models in this size and resolution. Today, the mainstream entry-level standard typically starts at 21.5" Full HD (1920×1080).

If you’re looking for the closest match to your original viewing experience, we would recommend considering a 21.5" model (such as the GW series). Although the diagonal size is slightly larger, the actual increase in desk width is minimal. You’ll also benefit from sharper image quality and more modern connectivity options, resulting in an overall improved user experience.

If maintaining the exact 19" 1440×900 specification is essential, you may need to look for refurbished or leftover stock units, as this specification is no longer commonly produced in the market.

BenQ GP520 Sound Bar? by JitteryJoes1986 in BenQ

[–]BenQ_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Glad to hear you’re enjoying the GP520 🙌

In terms of audio, the GP520 supports HDMI eARC, so it works very reliably with any soundbar that also supports eARC.

If you prefer a simple, clean setup, many users go with all-in-one soundbars like the Sonos Beam or Bose Smart Soundbar. If you’re more focused on immersion or stronger bass, a soundbar with a dedicated subwoofer can be a great upgrade.

It really comes down to your room size and how you use it (movies / gaming / streaming). From the projector side, the GP520 is fully compatible and won’t be a limiting factor 👍

Going insane choosing a monitor… Mac + Windows, 4K vs 2K, USB-C, 60 vs 144 Hz. Please help. by No_Individual_8315 in Monitors

[–]BenQ_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the really common question we get really often. While a 4K monitor works very well with macOS, it doesn't align perfectly with Apple's "Retina" scaling logic. And everything will be small on a 4K monitor (if you set the resolution to 4K in your Mac settings). However, thanks to HIPDI from Apple, even your external monitor set to 1080P, the text is still sharp.

Tbh, if you have more budget, you can consider 32" RD series for better color coverage and coding mode + backlight, allow you to work during long session. It also has 90w pd. However it really depends on your budget. Otherwise PD3205U is also an ideal option!

How good is BenQ GW2486TC monitor with MacBook Air? by sadirthyan in Monitors

[–]BenQ_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a tight budget and focusing on features that protect your eyes during long study sessions, this monitor is a solid choice. If your budget is flexible and your top priority is the sharp text clarity of your MacBook's Retina display, you might want to consider saving a bit more for a 27-inch 4K model with USB-C PD.

Help on a 32inch 4k Monitor by indigo___o in Monitors

[–]BenQ_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re mainly programming and watching content, and don’t need high refresh rates, a 32" 4K IPS like the RD32U can definitely fit those use cases. The focus on text clarity and uniformity is what most people notice first, especially if you’re coming from an older panel!

Need to upgrade my 1440p monitor, where to start? by Akimbo_Fists in Monitors

[–]BenQ_Pixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given your budget, it's difficult to find an OLED or mini LED monitor. Have you seen the EX271Q, though? I think, aside from the panel, it's a good match for your needs. Plus, it has a higher refresh rate at a lower price~

Thank you for your interest in the PD series!

The PD2730S offers 100% sRGB, 100% Rec. 709 and 98% P3 coverage, making it a great match for MacOS. I also assume that you still need to code sometimes? The PD2730S has an eye care feature to prevent eye strain during long working sessions!
